At age 23, The North Face Explorer, Elise Downing became the youngest person and first woman to run 5000 miles around the entire coast of the UK self-supported. A feat she completed in just 10 months.

Today Elise is a seasoned Ultra runner with an impressive adventure CV including the Tour Du Mont Blanc, West Highland Way & Ultra X Azores 125k to name a few. She champions an ethos of taking the seemingly impossible and making it possible.
A familiar face on the stage at UK Mountain and Running festivals she inspires future adventurers to pursue their own adventure, drawing on her own experiences in an authentic & humour-filled fashion.
