Merrell walking shoes
Great foot wear
I have been wearing this model of walking shoes for the last ten years . I can honestly say they are great , I would recommend them to anyone.
Look and feel substantial!
Merrell have an excellent reputation for quality and performance and these shoes feel and look the part, Very comfortable but..........I read a previous review that mentioned that best to buy one size larger than normal! I'm normally a size 8 for all shoes including golf and walking but these Merrell shoes are a size 9 and fit perfectly! Very pleased to be able to purchase through Blacks at an excellent price on offer!

A Honest review after 2 months
Bought my first pair on the 17/05/23 .
Pros
Great Grip and reasonably comfortable .
Cons .
After 2 months and some rainy weather damp started to come though , once they got wet it took 2 days to dry them out and noticed the fabric near the sole started to peel.
So imo the first pair wasn't what I call waterproof.
I took those shoes back and exchanged them for another.

I have a high instep and a wider foot meaning I find many brands just don't fit me.
Also I have had knee problems.
Merrill Accentors in boot and shoes form are my go to choice for everyday wear and hiking. Highly recommended.
Don’t waste your money
Wore them half a dozen times, no longer waterproof. Took them back, shop immersed them in water and said they ‘didn’t produce bubbles’ and so there was no problem with them. I have had about a dozen pairs of walking shoes from Blacks and never taken a pair back before. Previous merrells have at least lasted a few months before they let water in, but this pair have lasted 6 walks. It wasn’t even that wet, just wet grass and my foot was wet. I will not be buying merrell again or shopping in Blacks. Paid full price too and see they are in the sale now so doubly annoyed at wasting over £100.
Perfection.Des
Despite being the owner of slender feet I have never found real comfort in walking shoes until I was persuaded by a zealous salesman to change my life.
Putting any thoughts of hyperbole aside that is precisely what happened. Never in purchasing any form of footwear have I told the salesmanto keep the box as I am walking out with them on.
My overall impression was of a very stable platform with no squidgy comfort ,rather the comfort of a thought through design.
Grown up shoes that gave instant joy.
Avoid
I bought mine principally for water resistance and comfort reasons. The shoes failed on both counts being leaky and uncomfortable. Given the cost, I'd expect better. I get the impression that one is buying the brand and image rather than substantive quality.
