Excellent walking poles
Fine for town and country ... but not in the mountains.
I bought this because of the locking mechanism. It's similar to the type of fitting on a quick-release bike saddle post with its over-centre lock.
It is absolutely fine for town and country use. I rely on it for getting down steps as my knees occasionally give way without warning. So I can navigate National Trust properties and gardens etc in safety ... and that's what's important to me.
However, I wouldn't risk using it in mountainous terrain where the steps can be very high. At its tightest, the clamp slips at about 50 kg ... and if it gives way, you could fall a long way!

Excellent product, slender attractive...
Excellent product, slender attractive pole but really sturdy in use , 2 easy 'wheel' tighteners that holds it firmly at the desired length, a comfortable flat handle grip, a joyfully silent ferrule tip, and all at a very affordable price. Highly recommended product and amazing great speedy service from Blacks.

Reasonable price, rubber doesn’t last long on tip
Used for a 22 mile hike over Dartmoor To support with an injured ankle, rubber Tip had worn Down to the metal after 11 hours use...surprised it didn’t last longer.
Other than that it was perfect
