Great value
Berghaus Cornice
I purchased this to replace an identical Berghaus Cornice jacket purchased 25 years ago which was starting to fray at the edges. Well please with this product which has not changed over this time span a testimony to its quality.

I bought this after a lot of searching other reviews as a replacement for my Mountain Warehouse that just wasn't up to the job.
I have been out in it in some extremely windy and heavy rain conditions and it's come through with flying colours. Definitely worth trying
Lovely coat
Beautiful coat ,lots of pockets including a zipped pocket by the main zip,nice big hood ,it's also longer in the back, so covers your bum,great for dog walking ,I would highly recommend this coat.
Like for like
Bought for my husband. An updated version of his Berghaus Gore-Tex jacket now 20 years old and getting shabby. It seems very similar but with changes to collar and pockets which are okay, but not the extra 2 inches they've added to the sleeve length. However, the jacket was bought at a surprisingly low price (significantly cheaper than his old one) and is not worth changing for the sleeves alone. Performance and durability have yet to be assessed.
Brilliant Product
It is still early days yet and we have not yet experienced any deluge downpours of rain but experience to date is very positive.
The garment has not let any rain on.
It is well made, the hood is integral and extends over the neck and face; this will be highly beneficial during deluge rain.
No negative comments.
Will wait and see what a year of wearing every day for 1 hour yields.
Does the job
Kept my dry on two wet walks so far. One 60 mins, the other 90. Yet to test jacket on a four hour hike in Peak District.
perfect
I was needing a longer length reliable coat for dog walking and decided to purchase this man's jacket as the women's jacket's are too short and don't leave room for added warm layers underneath. Used the jacket recently on a long rainy walk recently and the jacket kept me perfectly dry. Especially like the spacious hood. Shopping from Blacks and getting a good discount in the sales was a great online experience. Highly recommend.
Berghaus jacket
It's early days yet, but I'm very impressed with the cornice lll jacket.the fit a large size is just right for me,the pockets at the front are adaqete. Just been out in drizzle all well time will tell
Appropriate Clothing
No such thing as "bad" weather, only in-appropriate clothing. Well if it's safe enough to be out in, then this will keep you dry. The interactive fleece liner I bought separately completes the picture and is recommended for all weather
combinations.

I bought this jacket as an upgrade to my previous Berghaus one which I had used for about 10 years. I took the fleece out of the old one and it slotted straight into the new one. The price was brilliant, being almost £100 cheaper than offered by some other companies and the whole thing is just perfect. The old one has been relegated to gardening wear so it could well have another ten years to do!
