Excellent communication.
Quick dispatch and delivery.
Coat is just what I needed.
Excelent product, would buy again.
The good: It's a Berghaus Goretex jacket. They've been making them for years so you can bank on the workmanship and quality of fabrics. It has a good sized fixed hood and storm flap over the main zip. I have no doubt about it being a sufficiently robust jacket to wear on the mountains in winter.
The bad: Velcro tabs on the main zip storm flap. I've had a bad experience where the hooks on one side of the velcro pulled away at the fabric on the other side, which eventually pulled down from under the stitching holding it in place, poppers would have been better.
The ugly: Poor hood design.
Excellent fit, the quality seems good too, but I'm still waiting to see if the Weatherproofing works. I've had Gore-Tex jackets before so I don't doubt it will keep me dry in a Downpour.

Light-weight, windproof & waterproof jacket. Well made and well proportioned fit, suitable for the challenges of the hills and mountains.
A superb Jacket and at the price point that it is available thru BLACKS, made even better. The Maitland is not a "PACLITE" style goretex, it is the heavier and more durable lined Goretex Jacket, perfect for everyday use, not really meant for extreme activities like mountain climbing or bike riding. Just 3 or 4 years ago, Berghaus sadly gained a reputation for going downhill in the quality control stakes with long standing customer being enticed to the likes of Rab or Montane. Thankfully that has gone full circle and their kit is once again 'Top Notch', this great Jacket proving that fact.
Stylish and functional - great product!
Light, tough and a good fit for a fairly chunky bloke like me!
Very thin jacket, doesnt provide any heating/warm elements to this jacket. Youll need a fleece on under to keep warm.
A little on the larger size too! Im usually an XL in tshirts/jumpers/coats. So i ordered this an XL, however feels like an XXL to me. It will be great when wearing many layers under but for every day use when walking the dog or nipping down to corner shop, you might want to order a size less to which you normally would.
It is a great jacket. I ordered myself a Large blue one for the summer months. Solid waterproof jacket overall.
Would be nice to have small reflective strips
Good dog walking jacket for all weathers
Very good, my previous Berghaus lasted over 20 years.
This coat appears nice, and I bought it and liked it until I realised it is covered in polluting 'forever plastics' (PFAS-type substances). These virtually never biodegrade, and are accumulating in humans (and animals and the environment) and have been linked to serious health implications. The lack of warnings about this, and the fact that Blacks still sells products covered in these pollutants, is really sad.
