It's time to introduce your kid to some real trails! Incorporating many of the features and design cues of the Xtrada hardtail, Polygon’s Xtrada 24 has geometry and components especially adapted to pre-teen children between 130mm and 155mm tall.
The modern geometry, which you won’t find on an inferior mountain bike, is designed to fill your child with confidence. It has a slack head angle, an air sprung suspension fork and big, grippy tires which means this bike rattles down steep and technical trails, natural and man-made, with ease. Powerful hydraulic disc brakes give your child complete control of their speed.
The bike has a low stand-over height, so there’s plenty of space for children to move around on the bike like a pro. It also makes getting onto the bike and adjusting the saddle for smaller riders much easier. There is a wide, 640mm handlebar for better handling and enough reach to allow your child to grow into the bike.
Instead of the more recreational twist style gear shifters found almost universally on kid’s bikes, the Xtrada 24 has a microSHIFT Advent Speed Trigger, just like adult mountain bikes. This trigger style shifter allows its young rider to flick between the ten gears quickly for easy pedalling on a broad range of terrain.
The Xtrada 24 is an undeniable bargain! A bike of this calibre is an investment, but the equivalent model from the big-name brands would cost a lot more.
