Half sizes please!
As always, the build and material quality are excellent.
Half sizes - Five stars would have been given if I was able to purchase a size 9.5 in this shoe. Thicker socks are required to make the shoe comfortable to wear.
Comfortable and hardwaring
This is the second pair of these boots I have purchased. I wear them most days. I still have my first pair which have lasted 18months so far but are beginning to look a little scruffy so bought a new pair for when I need to look smarter. They are comfortable for all day use.
comfortable straight out of the box
Lots of boots to choose from in the Lancaster branch on Monday. Need a wide fit. Knowledgeable and helpful sales man. Tried these (and another pair that were too narrow). Felt fine in the shop. Walked up, over and round Nicky Nook Fell on Tuesday, about four miles. Happy feet all the way! The boots look good and feel good. My intended use is for three season low level walking.

I have been wearing Merrell shoes and boots for years.
Accentors works for me for Spring to Autumn and because I have a dodgy knee, plus a high instep, and the cushioning and form suit.
Don't expect them to hold up to really hard core hiking in dreadful conditions or repeated exposure to longish wet grass.
I regularly machine wash in a proofing detergent, and apply further proofing.
I expect maybe 8 months out of a pair.
To my surprise, today my current pair are 14 months old and about to be binned. And that includes wearing as work boots for a property renovation.
