The narrow stitch-through baffled construction prevents the down fill from spreading or bunching and gives maximum loft, and the fixed insulated hood gives you supreme protection from winter weather. Clean lines and a slim silhouette mean that the Microlight Alpine works very well as a warm layer under a waterproof shell, for climbing or other alpine pursuits - but you'll also appreciate it if you're lightweight backpacking, or just wearing it day-to-day in cold conditions.

Lovely light but warm coat
Disappointing quality
Ive purchased Rab jackets in the past and so was looking forward to receiving this order. Unfortunately the jacket was a very poor quality. The jacket was flat. Very poor insulation. Had to return. Of note, this decline in quality if not just specific to Blacks. I’ve encountered the same problem in other stores. Rab jackets seem to have declined in quality.
Light weight comfy Jacket
I must confess we had to go to Blacks in Ambleside for this product as I had sent two coats back because they were either to big or to small. Anyway tried coat on in store but was too small so spoke with Staff who were extremely helpful and they ordered me one to be delivered to my home address. The coat itself is extremely light weight , I have arthritis in my shoulders and neck and find sometimes that winter coats are to heavy but this one definitely isnt . It keeps me warm on the school runs and very dry while out walking the dogs.
So comfortable and lightweight
Needed a new coat in a hurry. Delighted with the colour, the weight and the fit.

Sheds feathers inside & outside
This jacket feels nice to wear, but it shed so many feathers. My jumper and trousers get covered in white feathers which is pretty annoying. I'm thinking about returning it. I've never had a down jacket do this before.
