Chicken still not fully...
Chicken still not fully rehydrated after leaving for recommended time.
One of the better brands.
I have tried a number of different UK available freeze dried meals. Thus far I have been singularly unimpressed.
Too much starch, too bland, doesn't have to rehydrate properly, particularly in the corners. The usual stuff.
This is an exception. I gave it very slightly more water than specified (300ml rather 275ml), gave it a good stir before I added the water. Added it, left it for the recommended time then opened the packet.
I was pleasantly surprised. Smelled & looked appetising, completely rehydrate. Tasted more acceptable. Slightly salty. Chicken wasn't quite perfect. So 4 stars.
