Broke after 2 wears
For the first two walks I thought they were great. However, the rubber snapped when putting them on for a third time. Really disappointed as it had in initally it seemed like a great product. Don’t buy!

I've owned two pairs...
I've owned two pairs of these (because I lost the first pair) and found them to be extremely effective in the snow and ice. Recently used them for a whole week in Iceland and they were a life-saver. Would thoroughly recommend them. I'm a size 13 UK and the XL's fit fine. I even accidentally wore my partner's M size and they didn't snap so they have a lot of elasticity.
Great idea, shame about the quality
Broke on the third outing. Absolutely brilliant for two outings, but at £9 per wearing, really not good value.
Dear manufacturers, please address this problem. This product performs well until it breaks.

Great as long as they lasted - all of 3 trips out! Returning and looking for another option to buy for next winter. Highly *not* recommended.

Flawed product
I am not surprised at the other reviews here - I wish I'd seen these before purchasing this item.
It seemed great at first and stopped me slipping on snow and ice. But soon snapped, as other people have pointed out (the rubber straps broke).
Just a bad design it seems - the thin rubber goes underneath the boot and therefore gets walked on. It inevitably breaks and leaves the grips un-usable. Other online reviews say the same thing (plenty of Amazon!). No point trying another pair. Don't purchase is my advice! Hoping for a refund.
Mine snapped too!
I bought a pair over Christmas - like others, one of them snapped after only 2 outings. Left me in a bit of a predicament at the top of a very icy hill! Luckily no bones broken. Disappointing product. Not recommended.
Broke during first wear
As several others have said... very poor quality and broke practically immediately. Shame, they actually gripped on the snowy hillside very well - if only more robust they would have been great.
Poor product - lasted an hour before breaking!
My previous review posted 10th Jan seems to have been removed.
I wore these for an hour and both left and right boot thin rubber straps snapped.
Not fit for purpose. Have reported to Blacks and asked for refund. Seems they are still selling them.... and no doubt will block or remove this review too! No more Blacks purchases for me. Avoid these pro grips - complete waste of money.
Disappointing
Bought these to use during recent bad weather . Initially very impressed as I was able to walk on icy pavements without fear of slipping . However after only three outings the rubbers straps have snapped on both shoes, rendering them useless ! Very disappointed as I thought they were the answer to the severe winter conditions !

Brilliant on icy pavements to prevent falls.
Great to have handy for the occasional "Beast From The East". Just used mine bought 10 years ago. Not used every winter in UK, but great to have when the snow has melted and frozen to ice on pavements. Also great in snow in fields. You do have to remember NOT to wear in shops or on home flooring - it works like roller skates!
Poor Quality
Poor quality! Purchased two pairs and mine only lasted for three outings before the rubber and spring snapped. I might consider purchasing another pair but after looking at reviews on other sites I probably won't. Shame as I initially thought they were excellent.

As with the other review, mine broke on the 2nd wear. It's a shame as they are a great product. Blacks were fantastic & refunded.
