Good bike packing tent but too little height
4_5 out of 5

Nice, light and compact tent, fits perfectly between drops on handlebars.
Enough space and accessible on both sides under flysheet for panniers and helmet. Enough room at head of bed for daypack and bits and pieces.
A bit more height in order to sit up would be better. I am 5’6”. It’s a struggle to get sorted out when it’s raining.
The loops to hold back the tent and flysheet when open are too long so they don’t stay up properly.
Overall good for keeping warm and dry but difficult to move about due to the inability to sit up.

Great little tent
4_5 out of 5

Bought this for bike packing excursions. This was just what I was looking for. It's lightweight, goes up in a few minutes and packs down to a very stowable size. I'm 5'7" and it works for me. Taller than that and you'll want to size up.
Needs to be well ventilated to keep condensation to a minimum.

Well made compact tent
4_5 out of 5

Great little tent, very well made and looks solidly waterproof (not tested). Smaller than you might think, I'm 1.78m and if you were taller you might find it a squeeze to lie stretched out. But it does pack up compact for fitting on bike handlebars. It's ideal as a lightweight compact tent for overnight

Great tent
4_5 out of 5

I bought this tent a couple of years ago and its quality is great. There's more room inside than expected but would be snug with 2 people in it. Takes me 9 minutes to put up. The stated weight is not accurate unless they've managed to improve weight in the last 2 years as mine weighs 2.1kg (on fairly accurate digital kitchen scales). Overall a great spacious tent for 1 persson or snug with 2 people and doors on both sides make it easy to get in and out and good airflow. I had no problems with condensation at all. Worth the money

Fantastic little tent
4_5 out of 5

Really good little tent. Perfect for wild camping. Been through quite heavy rain a few times and it held fine. Is quite tight inside but I use my pack as a pillow and you have a little side 'porch' area still covered by the top sheet. No issues with quality so far.

Great small tent for...

Great small tent for low profile or wild camps (check dimensions before buying).

Packs down quite small and does not weight too much.

Inner pitch first.

Excellent value
4_5 out of 5

Excellent value one man backpacker tent. I used it to do the South Downs Way over 4 nights. Easily coped with high winds and heavy rain. No space inside the tent for my 80 ltr rucsac but managed to tuck it inbetween the outer and inner at the opposite side to the door. It bulged the outer slightly but kept it dry enough. Space is tight but that's normal for backpacking light.
My only gripe is that I cannot find any spare poles.
Anyone have any ideas? Please include in a review?

Great potential, poorly executed.
4_5 out of 5

I bought this tent with great hopes but unfortunately been let down by what I feel is a design over sight. Although the quality of the tent feels to be good quality upon assembly the smaller silver pole seems to either be too long or the mounting points to short. With the adjustment fully out it's is still a big stretch to get the poles to locate and when they do its so tight you can see the stitches in areas being pulled apart this leads to the tent sitting wonky on thr poles and not central I returned my first one only to find the second suffers then same issue .

Not yet used over...

Not yet used over night, but pitched a couple of times in the garden, easy and straight forward to pitch, only a matter of minutes, the quality of the poles, inner tent and flysheet seem very good for the money, some reviews questioned the room inside the tent, but I was surprised at the space available, enough room for me to sleep at 5ft 10 and room for a rucksack by me at the head end of the tent, cannot wait for a improvement in the weather to try this tent over night, very pleased for the money.

Claustrophobic
4_5 out of 5

Well made tent and very sturdy. It will have no issues in heavy rain and reasonably strong winds.

However, there is very little room in the tent, and at only 5 ft 10 inches tall, there was nowhere near enough room to sit up. Also, there was nowhere to keep my rucksack, so this stayed outside all night. Fortunately, it was a dry night. I personally found the tent too claustrophobic, so it’s not going to get much use going forward.

If you’re looking for a relatively light weight tent, don’t have issues with claustrophobia and want a tent for wild camps, this is ideal.

Great product for the price
4_5 out of 5

Just received mine yesterday. I've had it set up in the garden and had a wee look. The only two criticisms I have. 1/ There's no midge screen! I live in the Highlands - some may understand my point. 2/ The poles take some effort to slot in the bottom. I was scared I might break them. Apart from that - it's a wee beauty. Weighs about the same as a bag of sugar and very compact when packed away. All in all, 8/10

Excellent Bivy tent.

A great upgrade from the original phoxx 1. This version has better material. The ground sheet has been updated, the inner is solid where as the previous was mesh. The phoxx1v2 is longer and higher than its previous counterpart. Overall an excellent tent for the price.
