I purchased a new pair of waterproof trousers to replace an old pair that were no longer keeping me dry. The OEX version is quite bulky, being lined with a light mesh and having zips along the outer seam of both legs. This should make them easy to zip on& off as needed when walking and fit easily over boots without having to remove boots. They have yet to be tested in heavy rain but they seem well made with taped seams.
I would prefer them to be lighter weight and less bulky to be easier to pack.
