Merrell Men’s Moab 2 Mid GORE-TEX® Walking Boot

I spend a lot of time around the Cwm's and slopes of Snowdonia mountain ranges, these boots have proved themselves invaluable, coping with rough, boggy ground, providing protection against twisted ankles and wet feet. i went 1 size up (9 -10) from My shoe size 9, perfect. my feet are broader vs slim, these boots are so comfortable, would i recommend ?, yes, i'm buying another pair to compliment the ones i already have.

Bought these brand new to do the Skye trail in June. Stepped in many puddles where the water got in the mesh (sometimes quite deep puddles) and my socks stayed dry 80% of the time.


I imagine that if you continue to clean and treat these boots with Nikwax every time they get wet, you'll stay nice and dry. You will get wet if it's really bad or boggy, don't expect to trudge through puddles for an hour and stay dry.

I walked for 7 days 6 hours a day and had no blisters or pain whatsoever and my feet didn't smell that bad. The flexibility and breathability is very good. Good grip good boot

I have had these boots for two years now and can confidently say they are the most comfortable boots I have ever had and that was straight out of the box.
They are starting to leak a little now but that is only in harsh conditions. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another pair when the time comes.

These were the costliest walking boots I have bought as thought I'd get high quality.
Bought these as needed wide fit.
Also had to go up 2 sizes to get the comfy width fitting.
Boots very comfortable but within a year they split around toe cap.
Blacks replaced them but same happened again just outside warranty.
Now have to wear waterproof socks when walking in the wet.
Disappointed they only lasted a year before splitting, even though they were cleaned and treated after wet muddy walks.

Not tested yet but seem ok.

Only given 1star as the toe box of the mid boot version was narrower due to sloping sides compared to the shoe version which I finally bought.May still be ok for someone with a narrower foot.

Bought as a replacement pair for previous Moabs that were just starting to show signs of wear and tear after many years of walking

I have wide feet and high insteps and so I was having difficulty finding a boot that fitted comfortably. I tried number of shops without success but at Blacks in Leeds they suggested I try the Merrell 2 Moab. Found them to be a perfect fit and are extremely comfortable and supportive to walk in. The tight heal seems to keep your foot in a stable position in the boot really well. I have used them for regularly for a year now and I am still really Impressed with them. If support and supreme comfort is your main priority in your choice of a boot then give these a try.

Fabulous light weight walking books that fit like a glove

A wide fitting boot with a fairly tight heel to keep your heel down when moving a quicker paces. plenty of room with it's comfortable design.
