Merrell Kids' Moab FST Low Waterproof Shoes

Whilst these shoes are very comfortable, the rubber detail on the front cracked and peeled within a month making them look very raggy and cheap.

This was despite them not getting wet and having very light wear too.

Only worn a couple of times so far for a couple of non-muddy/non-wet walks, so can't really comment on how they truly perform, but my daughter says they're comfy and she thinks they look cool. Bit annoyed to find the shoes are sold in US sizes, so I ordered a 3, which are a UK 2.....I'd avoided buying via Amazon because I wasn't certain if the sizes were UK or US on there, and ordered via Blacks as I thought they may have converted the sizes on their website - so a note on the website flagging that they're listed in US sizes would have been helpful. Fortunately I think this shoe comes up slightly big and so they fit my daughter and I can also keep them for her younger brother if not worn much!

Horrific experience ordering from Blacks. Half the order was delivered, and the other half mysteriously was not included. When I called to find out where the shoes were, and when I offered to give my order number so the details could be brought up, I was told that wasn’t necessary because I’d “just have to wait”. When I asked if I could speak to someone who could look further into this, I was hung up on. I’d love for Blacks to review the audio from that phone call if they recorded it!
The shoes arrived outside of the time frame I was given when I placed the order, making them useless. I then had to pay £3.20 to return them via post.
Will never buy from Blacks again - I was a first time buyer through their website, and have cautioned all of my hiker pals to steer well clear!
