They have a deep pile fleece next to the skin that is not only extremely comfortable, it also helps wick moisture away to ensure your hands remain dry. And to keep them warm there's Primaloft® across the back of the hand, encased in Pertex® Classic 6 material that provides the windproofing and weather resistance.
The easy-to-operate Velcro-fastening strap ensures the mittens remain in place, the draw cord helps tighten the cuffs to retain warmth and they come supplied with a stuff sack too.

Nice Mitts but Not Over Warm or Waterproof
Only issue was a missing stuff sack, but you made amends.
Wore these mitts on cycling tour of NW Scotland, end April. Needed merino wool liner gloves inside the mitts to keep warm. During prolonged snow, the mitts got soaked through & my hands cold and wet.
