Remember that UK Standard Delivery orders usually take 4 working days for delivery and International delivery can take up to 6 days for delivery. You can track your order online using our tracking service*. Simply follow the link in your dispatch email or the My Account section of the website and our carrier will show you where they’re up to with your delivery. In the unlikely event that there’s a problem with your order, we will contact you either by phone or email to let you know, however if there is something you’d like to discuss please feel free to contact our Customer Service Team. *International tracking information not available to certain countries.

Once your goods have been dispatched you will receive an e-mail confirming that they're on their way. You will be able to track the delivery progress of your order by clicking the link in your dispatch e-mail. Your goods will be delivered by one of our couriers who may or may not require a signature, dependant on the delivery service selected and the value/weight of your order. The link on your dispatch e-mail will take you to the appropriate carriers website to view tracking details. Or alternatively, login to My Account which also contains a link to track your order. Our carriers deliver Monday-Friday between the hours of 8.30am and 9pm.

You can pay using your credit or debit card that either is a VISA, Master Card, Switch, Maestro, Delta or American Express card. It is imperative that you provide the cardholder's name as it is shown on the card, and address exactly as it appears on the card statement. We are unable to accept payment by cheque, Style cards, Visa Electron, Solo cards, Duet Cards, cash, postal orders or gift vouchers. To give you even more confidence in shopping online with Blacks.co.uk, we have introduced Verified by Visa and Mastercard® SecureCode™. These services enhance your existing credit/debit card accounts against unauthorised use when you shop with us. To use this service, you must first register with the bank or other organisation that issued your card.

Please return your unwanted goods to us within 14 days. Alternatively you can take it to a store for an exchange within 28 days.. The delivery charge is non-refundable except where the goods are faulty or in cases where the order was cancelled under the UK Distance Selling Regulations. Please be aware that due to Health & Safety at work regulations we require any used faulty goods to be in a clean condition before accepting them for a refund. This does not affect your statutory rights. Please note that we cannot exchange or accept a return on swimwear or underwear, with the exception of faulty merchandise.

If you've paid by credit or debit card just pop down to one of our Blacks stores nationwide, take your despatch note and the goods you want to return, and the store team will be happy to offer you a refund or exchange. Unfortunately, we can't take orders paid by PayPal back in store. Visit our Store Finder to find your local store. Orders delivered to one of our alternative collection points (JD Sports, Scotts Menswear, Millets or Bank stores) cannot be returned in that store, you can either return to a Blacks store or via Collect+ or by post.

We recommend using Collect+ to return your order. Collect+ have over 5000 parcel drop points in local stores. Many have extended opening hours and are open 7 days a week, so you can return items at a time and place that suits you. Visit Collect+ where you can create a returns label for just £3.29. You will receive proof of postage, online tracking and compensation cover up to £50.

You can make your own arrangements through any postal carrier but we recommend you use one who can give you a "Certificate of Posting" as, until the parcel reaches us, it's your responsibility. Blacks Internet Returns, Door 2, Kingsway Business Park, Rochdale, OL16 4FW.

UK Standard Delivery is £3.99 or FREE on all orders over £60. Estimated delivery will be within 4 working days.

Dedicated Saturday Delivery

Dedicated Saturday delivery is £5.99. Orders placed any day of the week will be delivered the following Saturday. Orders must be placed before 7pm on Friday for Saturday delivery. Unfortunately Saturday delivery may not be available to certain post codes and business addresses, they may be received next day if ordered earlier in the day but we cannot be guarantee delivery: BT, GY, IM, IV, JE, KA28, KW11-17, HS, PH32-35, ZE.

Next Day Delivery

Next day delivery is £5.99 and we will deliver the next day to UK mainland addresses providing that the order is placed before 6pm on Monday to Saturday or 3pm on a Sunday.

If your order is over £100 you will be eligible for FREE Next Day delivery. These charges may vary from time to time with promotional offers.

If we offer free next day delivery via a promotional code then this will not be available in conjunction with any other promotional code offer.

Choose the store you wish your order to be delivered to by searching for your town or by a post code and we will offer you your 6 closest stores. NEW! You can now choose to have your order delivered to one of our alternative collection points this includes any JD Sports, BANK Fashion, Millets and Scotts Menswear stores. For FREE.

What do I need to bring to collect my order from store?

Please bring the following items with you:

1. Proof of purchase - a copy of your confirmation email or your sales receipt, or text message.

2. Your payment card – for your protection against fraud, we cannot release your order without seeing your payment card or a form of photo ID (passport of driving licence only).

What are your alternative collection points?

You can collect your order from any JD Sports, BANK Fashion, Millets or Scotts Menswear stores for FREE.

Orders collected from these alternative collections points cannot be returned within those stores. You can either return you order back to us using the pre-paid returns label within your order or by returning your order back to one of our JD stores.

How long are orders held in store for collection?

You will have up to 14 days to collect your order. We will send you a reminder by email after 7 days. If you haven’t collected your order after 14 days it will be sent to our Returns Department and you will be refunded.

Which stores offer Collect From Store delivery?

The majority of our stores offer Collect From Store delivery. We are not able to offer Collect From Store delivery to stores within Airports and stores outside of the UK.

What time can I collect my order from store?

You can collect your order any time during store opening hours. To view the store opening hours for the store you are collecting from visit our Store Finder.

I am unable to collect my order from store. Can someone else collect it for me?

Unfortunately for security reasons, once your order is in the store and ready for collection only you can collect the order.

BFPO Delivery

Delivery to BFPO destinations is FREE!

Simply select Home Delivery and change United Kingdom to BFPO before entering your BFPO delivery address.

We deliver most items Monday-Friday, 8am-8pm

We cannot guarantee Express or Next day delivery within our usual timescales to a small number of areas (details of postcodes are listed under the individual delivery options).

In some cases a signature may be required.

If you are out when we try and deliver your parcel, our carriers will attempt to leave your item with a neighbour, or if a signature is not required they will leave in a safe, dry place. They will also leave a calling card with the details of where they have left your parcel.

If it is not possible to leave your parcel our carriers will leave a calling card and usually attempt re-delivery on the next working day, or you can rearrange your delivery day by following the instructions on the calling card.

Who will deliver the parcel?
Deliveries will be shipped using a carrier based on the weight and value of your order. Once the parcel has arrived in your country it may be passed to an internal post service and be subject to their standard delivery procedures.

How long will it take?
Timescales vary from country to country. Please choose your country from the drop down list at the top of this section for a guide of how long your delivery will take

Can I track my delivery?
It depends on which carrier is used when we ship the parcel. We'll send you a tracking link by email if one is available.

Will the recipient have to pay duty on the order?
Our products are sold on a DDU (Delivery Duty unpaid) basis. Additional taxes, fees or levies may apply according to local legislation.

Recipients of deliveries made outside the European Union may have to pay import duty or formal customs entry. If this is the case, the delivery may be delayed. Blacks cannot offer any assistance in these processes.

To help make sure that customs duties are not payable for deliveries outside the EU, check the custom duty threshold of the country you're sending your items to, before you order, and keep your total basket value below that threshold.

Where is my order?

Remember that UK Standard Delivery orders usually take 4 working days for delivery and International delivery can take up to 6 days for delivery.

You can track your order online using our tracking service*. Simply follow the link in your dispatch email or the My Account section of the website and our carrier will show you where they’re up to with your delivery.

In the unlikely event that there’s a problem with your order, we will contact you either by phone or email to let you know, however if there is something you’d like to discuss please feel free to contact our Customer Service Team.

What delivery services do you offer?

Do you deliver overseas or to BFPO addresses?

Yes! Simply change 'United Kingdom' to either BFPO or your country of residence, input your address and we'll ship your order overseas.

Do you deliver to the Channel Islands?

Yes, simply select Jersey/Guernsey at the checkout stage, enter your address and we’ll deliver your order on a UK standard delivery service.

How long does delivery take?

UK Standard Delivery – within 4 working days (Orders delivered Mon-Fri). UK Next Day Delivery – Next day for orders placed before 8pm Mon-Fri or 6pm on a Sunday Free Delivery to Store – Delivered within a few working days. International Shipping - Usually within 6 days for EU destinations. Usually within 10 working days for non-EU destinations.

How do you deliver?

The carrier we use to deliver your parcel depends on its contents, value and weight. All of our carriers will attempt a delivery at your front door before opting to leave the order with a neighbour, leave it in a safe place or take it back to the depot. In all cases of a failed delivery attempt, they will leave a card to let you know what they’ve done.

Can parcels be left in a safe place?

Yes, although this does depend on the value of your order and the courier’s personal judgement on how appropriate this method of delivery is for each delivery attempt.

Can I track my order?

I received my item but it’s faulty, what do I do?

We’re really sorry about that! Please follow the instructions on your delivery note on how to return your order back to our Warehouse and our Returns Team will look into the problem for you. Alternatively, you can return your order to one of our stores. Use our Store Finder to locate your nearest branch and take your delivery note with you so a member of our Retail Team can assist you further. If you’d like to discuss your faulty item beforehand, please contact our Customer Service Team.

You sent me the wrong item

We’re really sorry about that! Please contact our Customer Service Team as soon as you can and they will look into the problem for you.

Why is my password not being accepted?

We're very sorry that there seems to be a problem with your password. Please re-set your password through the My Account section on the website. A new password will be emailed to you, which can be changed to something more memorable next time you login. Please ensure that you enter the new password exactly as provided. It is case-sensitive and will not allow login if any of the letters are supplied in a different case. If you are not sure of the characters in your new password, copy and paster the password from the e-mail directly into the password field, making sure you only select the characters of the password without any extra spaces. Please note that if you have requested more than one reminder password in a short space of time, a new password is generated each time (invalidating the previous one), so please check that you are using the latest password that was generated. If in doubt, wait 15 minutes to allow any pending e-mails to arrive before generating another reminder.

My new password is not working, what should I do?

Please ensure you have copied and pasted the new temporary password from the email we sent you. The password is case sensitive and on occasions doesn't work if typed in manually. If the password set no longer works, please click on "forgotten password" and a new password will be sent to you in an email. Please copy and paste the password issued to you (ensuring no gaps are either side as it is case sensitive). You can then change your password to something more memorable when you are successfully logged into your account.

What if I forget my password?

Don't worry, we will still have your email address and other details saved in our system. Please go to the 'My Account' section on the website, enter your email address and select the forgotten password option. A temporary password will be sent to you via email, which can be changed to something more memorable next time you log in to your account.

Can I make changes to my order?

No - once your order has been placed and accepted into our system then I'm afraid we are unable to make any changes.

Can I reserve online and collect in store?

No, not at the moment, although we are looking to provide this service in the future.

What methods of payment do you accept?

You can pay using your credit or debit card that either is a VISA, Master Card, Switch, Maestro, Delta, or American Express card. It is imperative that you provide the cardholder's name as it is shown on the card, and address exactly as it appears on the card statement.

We are unable to accept payment by cheque, Style cards, Visa Electron, Solo cards, Duet Cards, cash, postal orders or gift vouchers.

To give you even more confidence in shopping online with blacks.co.uk, we have introduced Verified by Visa and Mastercard® SecureCode™. These services enhance your existing credit/debit card accounts against unauthorised use when you shop with us.

Are online prices the same as in your stores?

On occasion, the prices payable and promotions offered in respect of goods advertised on the website may differ from those prices and promotions offered at the same time in our Blacks stores. We do this from time to time in order to attract customers to our different shopping channels.

How do I cancel my order under the Distance Selling Regulations?

Under the UK Distance Selling Regulations, you have 7 working days (from the day after you receive your goods) to cancel the contract for your order with us.

In this case, we will refund the price of the item in full, including the cost of sending the item to you. However you will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us.

In all cases, the goods must be in their original condition and will be inspected on their return. If you decide to cancel your order under the terms outlined above then you must let us know in writing (e-mail is fine), quoting the order number.

Why is my payment not being accepted?

If you are facing errors on the payment screen and are using a valid credit card, please ensure you have done the following: 1. You have selected the correct payment method 2. Why is the sale of certain knives restricted?

It is an offence for any person under the age of 18 years to purchase most kinds of knives. We take our responsibilities seriously and we always take steps to ensure that our knives and tools are promoted in a responsible manner. We therefore have chosen not to sell specialist knives on our website, although certain types of knives are available and a wider selections is available in our stores to persons over the age of 18.

I am looking for an item on your website but it is not listed, can I order it from you?

If the item you require is not listed on our website then you will not be able to place an order for home delivery although we add products to the site frequently so please keep checking! You may also contact your local store to order item/s (subject to availablity) or send us an email with details of the item you require and we'll do our best to help you.

How do I use a discount code?

Once you have added items to your shopping basket you may select a delivery method and then enter your discount code before continuing through to the checkout. Please ensure you enter the code correctly and then click "Apply". This should refresh the basket page and display the discount. If the code is not valid a red message will appear at the top of the page and the discount will not be applied.

Have you received my order?

How will I know when my order has been received?

Once you have completed the checkout process you will be given an order reference number and we will send you a confirmation email to the email address that you provided at the time of the order. The email will detail your order that you have placed with the order reference number, products and total order value. It is important that you retain the order reference number to ensure that we can resolve any queries that you may have about your order quickly.

What does 'Processing' mean?

If your order status is "Processing" this means that we have received your order and that it is in the process of being picked and despatched.

How can I pay for my goods?

You can pay using either credit or debit card either online or over the telephone. We currently accept Visa, Visa Delta, Mastercard, Switch/Maestro and Amercian Express. Do you offer VAT free shopping?

No. All our prices are inclusive of VAT. However we are able to provide a VAT receipt upon request. Please e-mail us with your order number and we will arrange for your VAT receipt to be posted to you.

When will I be charged for my order?

When your order is accepted and you have received an e-mail to confirm your order details, we will take payment immediately. Please remember that even if your order is not accepted, some card issuers may still reserve the money, meaning you can't use it for a short period.

Do I need to register to shop online?

No, you can shop at blacks.co.uk without needing to register. If you choose not to register, we will not hold your details for any reason other than the purpose of your transaction. For further transactions you will need to tell us your details again. However, registering will enable you to track your orders online, view your full order history, update your personal details, manage your address book and change your payment details, all in one secure area. You will also be able to purchase more quickly and easily if you're logged in.

Can you provide a VAT receipt?

Yes. Please e-mail us with your order number and we will arrange to send your VAT receipt in the post to you.

Am I charged for the items as soon as I order them?

No - we will only charge you once your order is despatched.

How do I check stock in your stores?

To check availability against a specific product please feel free to call the store directly, who are normally happy to reserve items for a limited time. We regret that we are currently unable to transfer stock between different stores.

Can I place an order in store for delivery?

Yes! If your local store doesn't have the item or size you require, the store will be more than happy to take your order and have it delivered to your home address or any eligible store provided that we have stock available in our warehouse. We call these orders 'Kiosk' orders and you can pay by cash or credit/debit card at the till. Delivery of Kiosk orders to a home address or eligible store takes no more than 5 days.

How do I return something to you?

To Store.

If you've paid by credit or debit card just pop down to one of our Blacks stores nationwide, take your despatch note and the goods you want to return, and the store team will be happy to offer you a refund or exchange.

Unfortunately, we can't take orders paid by PayPal back in store.

We recommend using Collect+ to return your order. Collect+ have over 5000 parcel drop points in local stores. Many have extended opening hours and are open 7 days a week, so you can return items at a time and place that suits you.

Visit Collect+ where you can create a returns label for just £3.29. You will receive proof of postage, online tracking and compensation cover up to £50.

You can make your own arrangements through any postal carrier but we recommend you use one who can give you a "Certificate of Posting" as, until the parcel reaches us, it's your responsibility.

How long can I keep my order before returning it to you?

Please return your unwanted goods to us within 14 days. Alternatively you can take it to a store for an exchange within 28 days.

What if my item becomes faulty?

If you are concerned that your item may be faulty please let us know straight away by taking the item into your local Blacks store or by contacting our customer care team. We will try and resolve any issue with a faulty item as quickly as possible but we need you to tell us as soon as you discover a problem.

Can I exchange an item?

You may exchange an item by returning it to any store. Please use our store finder for local store details and opening hours. We are sorry to say that we are unable to exchange items that are returned by post to our returns centre

You have refunded the incorrect amount, what do I do?

If you feel that we have processed your refund incorrectly, please contact us with your order details so we can investigate and sort out any problem as soon as possible. However please also consider the following:

  • Your delivery charge is non-refundable except where goods are faulty, we have sent you the wrong item or you cancelled the order under the Distance Selling Regulations.
  • If your orginial purchase was part of a multibuy promotion e.g. "buy one get second half price", and you have returned one item or part of the original multibuy offer, then you will be charged full price for the remaining items, which will be reflected in the amount we refund you.
