It's made using different GORE-TEX fabrics, with heavier layering over the shoulder area to guard against abrasion from your rucksack.
The 'Alpine fit' with articulated, pre-shaped sleeves is completely unrestrictive for all day use, and the proven Mountain HC Hood is a reliable refuge in the worst weather.
