DEET is an abbreviation for Diethyl Toluamide, a synthetic chemical that is a very common ingredient used in insect repellents. DEET can be toxic to humans and our environment. That’s why this insect repellent is DEET free!
This DEET free insect repellent contains the active ingredient Saltidin® which is proven to repel mosquitoes, midges, horseflies, sand flies, gnats and ticks.
The 20% Saltidin® based formulation offers medium-high level protection against biting insects for up to 8 hours. It is more suited for sensitive skin than DEET based repellents and is also suitable for use on children over 2 years of age.
