Look good so far, but not yet had serious use.

I am happy with these boots, they are extremely comfortable and hard wearing. A word of warning however; make sure that you buy them a half size larger than your normal shoe size as recommended by Meindl. I bought a pair from Blacks and was not given this information by the sales person. The boots felt ok when I tried them in the shop but were useless for climbs. I complained to Blacks as they had not given me the necessary information, but they accepted no responsibility and failed to call me back when I asked for my issue to be taken further. An expensive error for me.
Buy them elsewhere.

Very good boots all leather waterproof good fitting
Very comfortable straight out of the box (good old Meindl MFS!) with the best fit for my broadish foot of all the five alternatives I tried (including Meindl Vakuums) and the lowest price I could get anywhere. Great traditional mountain & hill 3 season boot! May be heavier than some but lovely rolling walk action, aggressive, grippy sole means I did not notice. And they are a steal @ £157.50!Although I am yet to try them on a proper walk (in the Lakes or Snowdonia), they are as comfy and feel even more supportive than my 10 year old (& only now falling apart) Burma Pros. Can't wait to try them properly and looking forward to the next 10 years!

Have owned the previous incarnation of these boots (the Burma) for approx 6 years. Worn virtually every day in that time and only now have the boot and sole decided to part company. Super comfy from day one. Roughly 1000 days wear for £200 makes these boots incredibly good value for money. Saving up for a pair of Bhutans!

Simply the best walking boot I ever bought. Full grain leather with a goretex membrane and a vibrating sole. Super comfortable with great support in the bed of the foot and around the ankles. If you take care of the leather it will last for a good amount of years. It is possible to replace the vibram sole if warn flat, but you would have to check with Meindl where this can be done.

These boots are fantastic. The Memory Foam System ensures great comfort because it moulds to each individual foot.
I use a combination of leather conditioner and beeswax to look after mine which is a bit time consuming but keeps them waterproof and looking great too.
I would definitely recommend them if you are looking for a sturdy leather boot which is really comfortable to wear.

Read many site reviews on good walking boots, as fed up of boots costing money yet within a short time leaked. Decided to buy these, and from day 1 they felt good, total support over mainly countryside, and hill walks. Wore them for dog walking average 6 to 8 miles per day. Used recommended wax and they stayed dry even after walking through really wet grass. Great traction and grip. I have basically wore them out now, heels worn down but used most days over the 18 maths plus I have owned them, so now going to be using them for gardening and Allotment. Suppose high end price wise but great boot
