Equipped with a waterproof Gore-Tex® membrane, the Merrell Women's Siren Sport GORE-TEX® XCR® Shoe has been designed for use in all weather conditions. This waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex® membrane will keep your feet completely dry whatever the weather, making this shoe ideal for using out in wet conditions. Freshness is retained in wet conditions by a Aegis® Antimicrobial solution which reduces odour causing bacteria.
Merrell are experts at creating performance footwear which maximises comfort on the trail and their Women's Siren Sport GORE-TEX® XCR® Shoe is packed with technical features which reflect this. An Ortholite® Anatomical Footbed has been used to support the foot as you move, whilst an air cushioned midsole provides necessary stability and absorbs shocks. To offer greater control over rough terrain, a Vibram® rubber sole has been fitted which provides exceptional traction as you move.
Comfortable and waterproof trail shoe from Merrell
Gore-Tex® membrane - a fully-waterproof and breathable material that keeps water out and lets cool air in.
Vibram® rubber sole - offers excellent grip in a wide range of conditions.
Air cushioned midsole - to absorb shocks and add stability.
Bellowed tongue - helps keep out debris.
Ortholite® Anatomical Footbed - provides support to the foot.
Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.
Feet: Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet. Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.
Remember, feet can expand over a quarter size during a full day's walk so ensure you get the right fit.
I've had my pair for several years and am about to replace them. I've found them very comfortable, durable and water proof. I don't know why some others have had problems with theirs - a bad batch maybe? Maybe they needed some TLC. Fabric shoes need to be cleaned and re-proofed with appropriate products from time to time. If you do that, the fabric will stand up to all sorts of punishment. I've used mine for hill walking in Scottish bogs and they've come up fine after cleaning and proofing.
