Mens Footwear size guide

Measuring tips

Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.

Feet: Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet. Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.

Remember, feet can expand over a quarter size during a full day's walk so ensure you get the right fit.

I like these boots because they are very comfortable, where lots of others don't fit my feet well. However, Merrell Moabs don't last for more than about 9 months of dog walking before they start letting in water, so half-price seems fair.

very good quality - waterproof and lightweight

Good lightweight trekking boot

Got these for my son's world challenge trip to Malaysia. He used them on the practice days in November in Ennerdale and elsewhere in the lakes over Winter and Spring. Then 3 weeks solid wearing them in Malaysia on hard treks (waist deep river crossings etc) and heavy hill climbing. He found them very comfortable and we will buy again when necessary. The chap who served us in Blacks in Ambleside was also very helpful.

A very comfy option

These have seen me through all my Bronze, Silver and Gold DofE expeditions and also three weeks in Madagascar, with many days out on the hills in between. Not quite as durable or supportive compared to a classic full leather boot, but they make up for that with how light they are!

Not good enough for £100 pound boots.

Comfy good looking boot, but coming apart after just over a year.and I am not exactly old wainwright.not good enough, not happy.

Waterproofing failed after 9 months

The boots initially were nice to wear, kept the water out and comfortable. I used them for my cycling commute. After 8/9 months of use the waterproofing failed and water leaked in the toe area. Poor.

Hard Wearing For All Conditions

I have used these boots almost daily for over 4 years in Iraq, Afghanistan, and down the pub in England and they are still going strong. I'll definitely buy another pair when needed.

Good to start with, but disappointing now despite good care.

Bought 5 months ago, impressed with the instant comfort and look of the boot. Initially very good waterproof wise, now both have sprung a leak and one of the lace loops has broken.

Too much promise

Initially, these boots were fantastic. Very light and flexible and waterproof.
Mainly used for weekend walking over the Pennines and Lakes.
12 months in, they've fallen apart.
Won't buy again

Comfortable, lightweight and dry

The most comfortable pair of boots that I have owned, lightweight, breathable and initially dry! Unfortunately at just over a year they are already coming apart and leaking, soles wear well though.

Lightweight and comfortable.

Used for over a year in many situations (rainforest treks, hill walking, caving etc.) and still going strong. Very comfortable, I sued them on a daily basis as well as for hiking. Recommended.
