The new Technicals range extends to accessories and here is the rechargeable head torch which offers customisable lighting and hands-free illumination when map reading, navigating the campsite or safe and seen night time running.
Excellent torch and reasonably priced. I bought this for my son to do night time trekking in the Brecon Beacons. He said it was excellent given he was using it in a storm with heavy rain. It charges quite quickly too.My only criticism would be the instructions are tiny.

Great value, clear and variable light and the red light has proved even more useful than I anticipated.

A great gizmo and gadget.
Really easy to use and it provides a high amount of light for all styles of outdoor night activities like navigation or camping. I have found rivals my other named branded head torches and at a touch less on the price point too. Comfortable head band that is fully adjustable, Small and takes up almost no room in your pack.
How do you know when the battery is fully charged? I've had it on charge for 5 hours and it's been on a solid red light since it was plugged in.

This should take around 2/3 hours to charge fully depending what the power source is, mains plug or power bank. This light should change to a white light. I would reccomend visiting your local store to show your problem. I hope this helps you.
I now have an identical problem with my current Technicals LED rechargeable head torch that I had with the previous one and I am not particularly happy about it. Both of the headtorches worked fine until they were recharged. Now, after a recharge, the headtorch will not switch on at all. All it will do now is show a steady red light, if I reconnect the USB cable. When I disconnect the cable, the headtorch is dead. Blacks (Riverside, Northampton) exchanged my first one without quibbles, suspecting a one-off problem. Now, the replacement torch has exactly the same problem. All I did was recharge it using a standard USB cable. It seems that the recharging process fries the headtorch circuits for good.
Not a happy customer.

I am sorry that you have had this problem, this feedback will be passed on to the correct department. Would you be happy for us to contact you directly on the email address you submitted? Simply so that this can be sorted out for you and to make sure you have the correct head torch to match your needs. Many Thanks.
Hi, can you help I need to know if you can buy the brackets that the torch sits in as one of the fixing parts have broken and the head torch falls out of the fixing!

Unfortunately we do not have or range any of these small brackets that control the tilt of the head torch. If your head torch is within the one year warranty and you have your proof of purchase you can contact our Customer Service team to arrange an inspection. If you have a store close to you they may be able to help you out as well.
How long does the battery last between charges when used at 100%. How does it recharge? Can be recharged used a USB external battery charger?

This charges via micro USB and could be charged by a power bank or mains source of power, from mains power this would take 40 minutes to an hour to charge and a touch longer from a power pack. This would last around an hour and a half to max two hours on permanent 100% mode. When used at a lesser level the battery life with expand. This is a very bright torch and even using it at 50% / 60% is going to provide a really good amount and quality of light. Many Thanks.
