Berghaus Intrepid 1000 Sleeping Bag

Great quality, kept me nice and warm

I’ve not used it outside yet but it seems like great value for money and has some great features like the inside pocket and pillow pocket. I saw another review where someone said it feels like cotton and they weren’t wrong!

This sleeping bag offers great value for money. I purchased 4 of them for my family. I slept in shorts and long sleeve cotton top and I was toasty warm whilst camping in spring/summer months. The material feels more cotton like so nicer against the skin. My kids said it was the first year they had stayed warm all night whilst camping!! The zip is large enough to grab in poor lighting and it didnt snag in the material. Very pleased with our purchase, would highly recommend and I would definitely purchase again.

Had this for about a year, and over time and testing and various weather conditions, I have noticed that in the summer I get incredibly sweaty in it due to the inside of the bag. And in the colder months around 3 degrees, is not even close to warm enough. The head band doesn't quite sit right either. I am upgrading.

A bit scared that I would be cold as very light. Very happy with my purchase. Bought it for Scottish wild camping; Bought it, because it was very compact and light compared to other sleeping bags with the same prize; Felt comfortable sleeping with base layer clothes, liner at around 5 C;

Tried at home and is comfortable and cosy. Very lightweight and easy to pack so it doesnt tale up much space in a backpack. Will try out in the Cairngorms in next few weeks so hoping it will live up to expectations.

I bought this sleeping bag for summer camps on the Scottish mountain's. The bag is very comfortable, has great features, pockets, sleave for a pillow & good zip. The best thing about this sleeping bag is the weight, it's very light + very small, so great for lightweight backpacking. I have used this bag now 4 times on the Scottish hills & have actually been quite cold a couple of times, with the temperature 5 to 7 at night, so not so sure about it being a 3 seasons sleeping bag.

Actually I was looking for another sleeping bag, but I stumbled on this one. Berghaus-equipment actually never disappointed me sofar, and I'm sure this one will not either

Tried the bag out at home and it was very roomy and comfortable.. Nice silky feeling fabric.. Zip seems to work well. I often sleep on my front and this was fine. Bag was light but plenty warm enough.. I'm using it for a hiking trip in France where I'll be staying in hostels some of the time so think it will be ideal for this. I chose this over a down bag as i wanted one that's easily washed (bed bugs!) so will have to accept the extra weight. Still it's less than a kilo so not bad. Also fits easily in bottom of 32 rucksac.

I have bought this sleeping bag before and had to send for a replacement as the stuffing in the lower part of the bag isn’t great. Staff at blacks were really helpful though and replacement came through super quick

I purchased this on a whim before embarking on the west highland way in May. I already had a very good sleeping bag but wanted something smaller that would fit alongside all of my ‘sleep’ gear in the bottom section of my Osprey Atmos. I was wild camping, with a bivvy bag, the whole trip & it comfortably fit in, with my thermarest, bivvy and tarp. The bag itself is very warm and serves me well for temps +6C. The zips are relatively robust and don’t snag as often as others. Negatives: it condensates, be that in a tent, bivvy or on a friend’s couch. The fill displaces in the foot box.

I find that this bag is a perfect balance of weight and pack size and temperature ratings that we get in our UK seasons Spring, Summer and Autumn. Ideal for a few nights away back to back if you are having to carry your kit. A few key features that I liked where the hanging loops for storage , The internal and external pockets for your Torch and phone in the night , The 3/4 zip so you don't have to bend down as far and keep your feet warm in the articulated foot bed. The head rest pillow sleeve in the hood is simple but 100% effective to slide you camping pillow in for a great nights sleep.
