Easy, fast and reliable great for boiling water for brews. Purchased the pot/pan stand for cooking eg bacon, sausage, eggs on a low heat it can be done. Everything packs inside the pot. Great for boil in the bag stuff
The ZIP does not come with the electronic piezo ignition but I don't miss it as most of the fail I've had a few stoves fitted with them and they've failed straight out the box.
All in All a great all round, reliable, all in one stove which suits my needs

I have now used my Jetboil on a dozen expeditions from solo to 4 man treks in the Brecon Beacons. Apart from the piezo ignitor failing within 1 hour the Jetboil is an awesome piece of kit. Slumped, knackered, by the side of track in driving sleet I could not be bothered to make shelter and went for the coffee sachet. The Jetboil lit from my zippo and less than a minute later 1/2 litre of boiling water despite the gale force winds. The system packs down a treat and protects the delicate bits. It's stable and robust, we like to use it for heating 2 or 3 ready meals at a time. I am amazed...

A handy stove just for you
I have found the Jet-Boil Zip to be a great piece of kit to take with you on your day trips or on shorter camping trips too. Making hot drinks is an ease for this little stove. This doesn't mean you can not cook food in it but It would need to be a wet meal like soup of a noodle / rise based dish. A cooking pot that you can drink from is ideal as you have a outer heat resistant cover to protect your hands. really good small pack size as well as a good amount of cooking volume. This little stove has now made it into my day sack on a permanent basis and is always ready for my next mini adventure.
