Campsite use only

Product seems to masquerade as bona fide kit, supposedly insulated, but has no R Rating! I'm 5'9 and it is way too long, wastefully so. Not wide enough, noisy and slippy. Wishing I had gone for therm-a-rest.

Good mat for summer-early autumn use, but narrow

Purchased 2 of these and used it for 12 nights in total, I have no issues with it but my husband struggles as the mat is narrow and slippery, (he is tall and slim-built) he keeps sliding off. Looking to get a different mat for him.
There is no R-value rating on the mat, but there is some synthetic filling inside, used it in Iceland with temperatures around 5-10 C, and it was ok, but chilly on some nights.
Also the outer fabric is quite noisy if you are turning a lot. All in all 3 stars.

could do better

I am a camping novice so dont have much to compare. It is lightweight but not self inflating as described to me when i bought it, however its quick and easy to inflate. It has the potential to be comfortable but unfortunately it slid from under me throughout the night and I found myself lying on hard surface. I will see if there is anyway to keep it more stable otherwise it isnt really doing the job. Very easy to pack up in its little carry bag.

Great price and very comfy

Not good for grown adults - let me explain.

Let’s start with the positives. Very light and small when packed and very easy to inflate (16 breathes for me). It is very comfortable and at 10cm it’s a nice clearance off the ground.

For the rest. I know I’m s big guy, 189cm and very broad across the chest but still it is a very narrow mat. I even got others to try it and they all said the same. It is also noise and slippery, like sleeping on a plastic bag. I did at 1 point slip down the v. gentle slope whilst sleeping and insulation wasnt great

Good for children, small adults and nothing more adventurous than a flat campsite.

A good bit of kit

I bought this mat because of the great price. It packs up small. It does not inflate by its self. It needs some puff from you. Used it recently boy was I surprised a grill nights sleep. Backed my kit away and the ground purer my tent was by rough no problem with this mat. The top of the mat has a none slip patches . They should do the two sides. Can't wait to try it in the - 0 degrees to see how it does.

Surprisingly comfortable

This is the first camping mat I have used and is surprisingly comfy. Had a really good nights sleep on it and keeps you off the ground, feels like a proper air bed. It is not self inflating as stated, but takes about 20 seconds and no effort to have it fully inflated. Seriously impressed. When in carrying pouch it is extremely light and easy to carry. It is quite long,im 6ft and had a fair bit of length left on the mat. Great purchase.

Q&A (1)

Does this mat have an r value? If note what temperatures would you consider this for?

Hi Nicholas Thank you for your question. This mat does not have an R-value but was designed to be used in a temperature no lower than 0c.To go lower into minus temperatures I would suggest a down filled mat. Many Thanks Stuart
