Instructions on how vavlue works would be useful.

Only 4 starts because I had to work out how to inflate. When valve pushed in the mat inflates. When valve pushed out the air stays in the mat (opposite to what I would have expected). Unsure how best to deflate - a guide / instructions would be useful. Great for short people. Takes up less space than a roll mat. Good idea to get it out at home before taking out for the first time.

Great product very compact and comfy

This is a 3/4 mat so bear this in mind. There were no instructions on the workings of the inflation valve. This took a couple of minutes to work out. Mat packs up nicely so able to get it back into the original valise. Bonus!

Great. Compact and light for cycle touring. Much warmer and more comfortable than a foam mat and far more portable. I didn't miss the extra length that would have been needed for my lower legs. Happy to trade this off for less weight and the compact size.Excellent value for money. Some instructions on how best to inflate, deflate and lock would have saved me some time, though.

Seems on the small side, but hoping it will insulate my sleeps in the Maasai boma slightly..

Excellent product. Works exactly as expected and the dimensions are true to size, I however did return it in favour of the bigger roll mat. This is only due to personal preference as I wanted a light compact sleeping mat but I found the compact version to be slightly to short and I chose the longer mat for comfort. It is amazingly light and is very comfy to lay on. I’d definitely recommend to someone who wants an incredibly light and comfy roll mat who doesn’t mind the short length.

Excellent compact little mat!

When this mat arrived, I couldn't believe how light and little it was! It is exactly as described, and exactly what I was looking for. I am 5 ,5" and the mat comfortable covers my body from my shoulders and head to my knees. I was hoping to take it on my gold Dove expedition and I was desperate for an ultralite but comfortable sleeping mat. I didn't want to spend a fortune on an expensive airbed but I couldn't bring myself to just sleep on a foam roll mat. This was exactly what I wanted. Little, lightweight and has all the comfort of a self inflating mat. Would recommend!

Q&A (2)

Would you confirm how/if the valve locks in the out (closed) position. The valve on mine seems to be permanently in the out position but continues to release air when I lie on the mat. Feels like it's M issing a 'locked' position but I don't want to force.

Hello Alan, this should be a simple pop up and down feature to lock it into place to hold the amount of air in that you require. I would maybe suggest visiting your local store for some help with the matter or you could contact our customer service team, you may find a quicker result from one of our stores. I hope this helps.

How does it inflate?

17th Feb 2019, submitted by Tara Long

Hi Tara. Thank you for getting in touch with us. This mat is filled with tightly packed foam, when you twist the valve to the open position air flows in and starts to expand the mat. To lock the air in you simply close the twist valve. This takes a few minutes and is great when you are busy pitching your tent. Depending on how firm you would like the mat you can also add some extra puffs of air. I hope this helps you.
