With all that is happening around the country and the world at the moment, we would like to reach out to you, our customers. We want to say how much we appreciate your support and to update you on how we are approaching the COVID-19 situation.
This is a challenging time for our community. Those of us who love the outdoors are faced with the looming prospect of having to stay inside for a while. Our staff across the business will continue doing everything possible to ensure that your orders reach you in a timely manner.
However, we in the JD Outdoors Family are committed to helping limit the impact of COVID-19. This is a worrying time for many and we want to reassure you that we are taking everything into consideration to ensure the wellbeing of our team and customers.
As such we have been taking necessary steps:
Though the current situation is uncertain, we can be sure that the outdoors is out there waiting for us on the other side of all this. We remain dedicated to providing you with the gear, advice and informed content to keep the spirit of adventure alive. Our customer service team stand-by to answer your questions, our emails are still going out, and look out for blogs and social channels to help you get the best from the next few weeks.
Times may seem tough right now. But you are never far from our thoughts and together we will weather this storm. We deeply value your continued support, and hope to return that wherever we can. For now, look after yourselves and each other, take a break from the news, and remember, Boris says you can still go for a walk! If you are going to go outdoors, do it responsibly.

Due to an increase in demand for our products online and the following of strict safety measures, deliveries are taking longer than usual. This is to allow us to be able to follow social distancing measures and ensure orders get to customers safely. We estimate orders will reach most customers within 5-7 working days (excluding weekends) and we thank you for your continued patience.

We are working hard to ensure orders are processed quickly and safely. However, to keep up with the increased demand of online shopping, and to protect our colleagues, we have temporarily extended delivery times to 5-7 days. During this time next day delivery will not be available.
We are extending out returns policy to make life a little easier. Any purchase made in stores before the temporary closure can be returned up to 28 days after stores reopen.
We have now introduced contact-less delivery on all products. Delivered risk-free straight to your doorstep.
We have taken every possible measure to protect our colleagues in our distribution centre during these difficult times. This includes introducing 2m social distancing throughout all areas and making hand sanitiser, wipes and PPE equipment freely available. We have also implemented staggered shifts and identified an isolation room for anyone who starts to show symptoms of Covid-19.
We all want to do our bit to help halt the spread of COVID 19. The health and wellbeing of our staff and customers is of the utmost importance to us and we have made the decision to close our stores for the time being.Our stores will close from the end of business today, Monday 23rd March. This is a temporary measure and we will reopen as soon as things improve and it is advisable. In the meantime we remain online and available 24/7 with flexible delivery options and an extended return policy to give you peace of mind.We want to take the opportunity to thank each and every one of our customers for their continued support in this challenging climate.
