Scaling 282 | Six Months to Summit Scotland

We caught up with Nicola Hardy and record-breaking peak-bagger James Forrest about their epic Scottish adventure to scale all 282 Munro mountains in just six months.

Beginning his journey back in 2017, James Forrest climbed each mountain in England and Wales over 2,000ft. This is where six months became the magic number for James, summiting all 446 peaks in that minute amount of time, a new record. The next year, in 2018, after conquering England and Wales and earning the nickname “Mountain Man”, James set out to tackle the 273 Vandeleur-Lynams mountains of Ireland. 56 days later, Ireland was complete too.

A new year and a new challenge, 2019 was Scotland’s year. April saw James Forrest accompanied by his partner Nicola Hardy set out to climb the 282 Munro mountains of Scotland. Of course they completed it, and completed it in only six months. We spoke to them to find out more about their awe-inspiring journey.
