Salomon socks.
I've been wearing Salomon socks for several years now and thoroughly recommend them. They are comfortable for any use, boots and I wear the heavyweight one in wellies. I've never had a hole or blister in them.

A bit small for size
I'm size 8.5 shoe, 5'7, so couldn't be considered hefty, but got a large, and still found the elastic on these very tight around my calf. Not comfortable for a long walk as a result.

these socks are the best, so comfortable for long walks or even with workboots on throughout the day. I am about to order another 2 packs as these are great. I usually run warm on my feet so was conscious of overheating /being too thick material wise. But these are superb. Highly recommended and nice price too.

To describe these as “Merino” is rather misleading. It’s a merino blend with only 17% merino. For me they really soon got sweaty - then felt cold.
