Scarpa Men’s Phantom Tech HD Boots

The Phantom Tech HD boots are one of the sportier members of Scarpa's Phantom family, providing the full package of warmth, precision and performance for technical and mixed ascents. They offer lesser weight and bulk for optimum performance.

The upper is split into a gaiter and shell (outer layer). The boot's gaiter helps keep snow and ice at bay. A waterproof HDry® membrane is laminated to the inner side of the fabric, without seams or gaps, to ensure nothing can seep through, blocking rain and snow whilst keeping your feet warm and dry. The membrane provides reliable protection without compromising air permeability to regulate temperature and prevent moisture buildup inside the boot.

The fabric features ecorepel® Bio technology by Schoeller, a high-functioning, perpetually odourless finish that mimics the natural protective mechanism of a plant. This finish wraps around individual fibres to reduce tension, creating a water-repellent effect without impairing breathability. The ecorepel® technology eliminates the need for fluorocarbons, also making the finish PFC-free, certified by bluesign®. Added PU TEK Technology also uses polyurethane for extreme abrasion resistance and enhanced weather resistance.

The shell is a mixture of microfibre and Microtech materials that provides optimum abrasion/weather resistance and durability for challenging terrain. PrimaLoft® Micropile and PrimaLoft® Silver Performance Yarn also take comfort to a whole new level and provide ample warmth. Thanks to the merino fibres used in the PrimaLoft® Silver Performance Yarn, temperature regulation and natural odour control are enhanced without compromising weight or durability.

The insole is made from Carbon Tech III SL and has an incredible strength-to-weight ratio. Thanks to their carbon fibre construction, they provide support and structure underneath the foot whilst keeping weight to an absolute minimum. The sole designed by Scarpa, the Precision Tech Roll AC sole keeps volume and weight to a minimum, creating a more precise fit and boosting overall performance. The outsole is made from Vibram® Mont rubber that features a Durastep compound, considered best-in-class for mountaineering, to ensure stability and durability. As it's an ice climbing boot, this outsole is fashioned to be compatible with automatic B3 crampons.

Featuring Sock-Fit XT tongue combined with the fast-lock lace system and fast-strap closure, making it even easier to get a close, precise fit with no pressure points over the foot, maximising comfort for long, multi-day ascents. There is an ultra-comfy Ortholite O-Therm insole, which creates a thermal barrier to elevate temperature regulation and warmth tenfold. It uses infused, open-cell PU foam with a proprietary aerogel to create the lightest, most advanced version of an insulative material, delivering a combination of unmatched warmth, all-day comfort and cold weather protection.

Boasting built-in RECCO® reflector increases your safety tenfold by making you more searchable. RECCO® technology was initially designed in response to an avalanche tragedy and launched in 1983. It's a two-part system that enables rapid, directional pinpointing of your precise location with a harmonic radar, helping you feel more protected during extreme activities.
