Terra Nova Laser Pulse 1

The Laser Pulse 1 is a lightweight tent designed for outdoor enthusiasts who require a minimal load in both weight and volume. It weighs less than 500g and has a tiny pack size of just 30cm long, making it ideal for short-duration mountain marathons or medium-duration backpacking trips.

The tent is designed as a one-pole tunnel style tent, providing maximum space while keeping weight to a minimum. It is made from high-quality ripstop nylon 7 Denier fabrics and a DAC main pole, which provides strength while keeping the weight down. The DAC pole can be left attached to the flysheet when packing the tent away, allowing for a speedier pitch.

The tent has an inner height of 82cm, enabling most users to sit up comfortably. It also has a front porch that can accommodate kit and provide shelter when preparing food. The half mesh door provides good ventilation, and additional airflow can be achieved by inserting the shortest pole in the eyelet on the front hem of the flysheet.

The tent also has a FastPack option, allowing it to be used with just the flysheet and groundsheet protector for an even lighter shelter. It is versatile in its uses and can be pitched with the flysheet first, with the inner added afterwards, or the inner can be pitched on its own (or first) with the option of quickly adding the flysheet if required.

The packed weight of the tent is 545g, including a flysheet, 3 poles, inner tent, pegs, guy lines, tent bag, pole/peg bag. However, this weight excludes the owner’s manual pack and fabric repair patches that come with the tent after purchase.
