Great fit and very comfortable.
Lacing problem
The Scarpa boot is a lovely comfortable fitting walking boot. The only thing that stops it getting 5* is the bottom lacing hook. It is very hard to lace on both boots. The top 2 hooks are fine.
If the hooks were made bigger and easier to lace the boots would definitely be 5*
Beware, poor grip
Nice comfortable boots but dangerously slippy after a couple of months. I've never fallen so much in my life. These are no use for me.

Good fitting boots
From order to delivery the experience was great, excellent communication from vendor and courier and delivered on time, especially considering it was only a few days before Christmas.
Have only tried them and walked around they are fit well and are very comfortable. Now looking forward to getting out for good long walk with the confidence that they will perform well.
Poor grip
First use with these boots I did scarfell pike and fell multiple times due to grip on the vibram sole this was mainly on large slippy rocks where my friend had no problems I can scramble through loose rocks no problem but found my self off path half of my walk with it being cobble steps

Nicely put together boot ,, seems robust and i do like the extra rub guard on the toe . I normally go for N Face or Brasher but the Black,s sale brought these in at a competitive price , so time will tell .

Great boot, sizing is...
Great boot, sizing is good comfort excellent. If you have a wide foot you may struggle with these. Been out numerous dog walks and not felt any aches, runs or anything. Ideal!

I have worn Scarpa Vortex walking shoes for many years, but I was looking for a new replacement boot. I did a lot of research and just before 2025 bought my Scarpa Boreas GTX from Blacks Website. These fitted me straight out of the box and I was very impressed with the comfort level. I walk my dog between 5-7 miles every day through the Yorkshire Wolds and these boots are perfect for that purpose. If I were scrambling in the Lakes or Wales I would opt for something sturdier like an SL full leather boot. The only niggle is that the lace hooks could be a little bigger otherwise it would be a 5.
