Assuming these are waterproof long term and hoping they last to pass on to youngest when outgrown, they look sound and well made. My 11 yr old sons feet were dry and kept warm after first muddy puddly walk of Autumn 2022. No complaining about his feet on first wear on 4 mile walk, and got them 20% off on promo. The laces are on the short side, and can't double knot, but then they also aren't flapping about in the mud either! I would say these are much nicer than previous purchase of Mountain Warehouse canyon kids hiking boot too...and cheaper too!
