Reviewed by Tim Knight - 9th Aug, 2019 15 Years on and Still Almost Like New I've been using mine for 15 years, put them through a lot & they're going strong with hardly a scuff I've worn them in the sea, I scramble, trek, hill walk, run, cycle & kayak in them. They don't really stretch so difficult for rock climbing but nonetheless I've used them for it. They're not designed to be waterproof but they dry very quickly so it really isn't a problem. I don't get too hot in them & if things turn bad, they are lightweight enough that a pair of waterproof trousers go over them easily. They've become an old friend. The down side is that after 12 years the press stud broke
Reviewed by Alec Valentine (Keswick) - 19th Apr, 2017Staff review Awesome Trousers An great pair of walking trousers. I have used mine for a few years now and still going strong, they are light, tough and surprisingly wind-proof. They have vents on the side for extra cooling and breath-ability also. I would recommend these as an awesome all round walking trouser.
Reviewed by Chris Hart (Inverness) - 8th Apr, 2017Staff review Great lightweight trousers i have several pairs of the montane terra trousers and would thoroughly recommend them, they are lightweight, have a tougher denier fabric at abrasion points, zipped pockets to stop you losing anything placed in them and are very comfortable and slightly water and wind resistant
Reviewed by Phil Whiley - 24th Nov, 2015 Not water resistant after a few washes, and poorly finished. After only a short while these trousers are now letting in, even in light rain. Also the ends of the zips on the legs are sharp on the inside; when worn with wellingtons the zips stick in like needles
Reviewed by rob - 31st Aug, 2014 AMAZING THESE ARE AMAZING. Absolutely fantastic trouser. I have 2 sets because they are that good. Great fit, highly water resistance, UPF factor 40+ sun protection and seriously lightweight
Reviewed by Harry - 23rd Mar, 2014 Fantastic walking trousers Fantastic lightweight walking trousers from spring through until autumn, great range of movement, very rugged around the knees and ankles, a tad on the pricey side however.
