In response to the comments below: There is material either side of the zip forming a hem and I have not felt the zip once nor has the hem rubbed. I am a 34 and my jeans are getting a bit tight due to Covid poundage but I bought a pair of these in a 34 and they fit great because the waistline is elasticated at the sides. Yes the material is thin but the blurb does say "lightweight cotton". I did find the zips a bit fiddly at first because they are small but I got the hang of it pretty quickly.
