The size was not accurate. I have about 10 pairs of shoes, all size 7, which fit me while the size 7 in the shoe I purchased was far too small.

I have had trouble buying good walking shoes that offer support either without feeling too rigid, or without soles wearing out too quickly. These were like my last resort. The soles are solid and not worn down after lots of use.. the support feels FAB. After weeks of use, I had a choice of three shoes for going up Snowdon. I didn't choose the Berghaus or the Merrell... because the Peter Storm reminded me so much of the Scarpa - firm, supportive and comfortable. I was up and down (Llanberis route) in just over 4h, and my feet were totally fine! I rate the shoes highly! I had worried about the way the lace 'hooks around' the clasp at the end, but it has been totally fine. These are now my shoe of choice for serious walking.

The Peter Storm shoes are very well made and comfy. They keep my feet warm walking out in the rain. Not tried full fell walking yet and how waterproof in those conditions they would be
