The North Face Men's McMurdo Parka

Best coat I've ever owned. I've had it for years now - no wear and tear whatsoever. Rain and snow do not penetrate at all - droplets stay on the outside and resemble oil on a new non-stick pan. I have NEVER felt the cold in this coat - not even in the week of the "beast from the east". For me the real test is that it keeps you warm when you are not moving around - for example stuck on a freezing train platform for an hour. Some coats fail by being too short and the wind and cold chill you from below. Not this coat - ample protection for your nether regions. Invest - you won't regret it.

Very good quality item from TNF. Even though some newer features are beneficial the jacket is a bargain.

Great jacket at a great price

Coat is exaclty what I wanted at a great price.

Had to return the first one - it's massive! Good solid warm winter coat but well over sized around the middle. Order at least one size below your normal fitting.

The best winter coat on the market, highly recommended!

Unfortunately my son found this jacket to be too heavy so we have returned it.

Warm waterproof cosy. Not too heavybto wear.

Bought for my partner who loves it.

I looked at quite a few similar style jackets before I bought this one, and is well made and warm. With regards to sizing, if it helps, I normally wear L size clothes. I am 5’11”. 13 stone with 44” chest and the L is perfect for me.
What I am not happy with is the zip on hood. It should be permanently attached to stop draughts, it also flaps about in the wind and would benefit from a wire insert. The sleeves also let the wind in and would be better if they had knitted cuffs.
The chest pockets can be cold and would be better with a warm fleece lining.
Apart from that, it’s great.

Amazing coat. Keeps you warm but not very hot when on trains/ underground tubes

I have been using a similar North Face parka for last 9 years and that has worn out a bit but still in good condition. The common question I’m always been asked, if it is new jacket, I reply it’s 9 years old. People get confused easily thinking this is a new jacket but North Face products are well built to last for long
I bought this parka last week from Blacks, St Paul’s in an offer. Thanks to the lady in the shop to help me out.
Before I buy this I did some research with major high street shops ie John Lewis, Selfridges, Barbour but this is one of the best quality product with good price

Double check sizes as come up big

When I was looking to buy this- which I'd been saving for a while for- it took quite some time to track one down but I'm so glad I did! It's 100% the best jacket I've had. I just wore a t-shirt underneath and it kept me warm enough for everyday British weather during December. I've sold a fair few to customers travelling further into colder climates too and they have always come back praising this jacket.

i have had one for some years.There is nothing better for the winter months it's like walking around in a duvet. I only ever wear a tee shirt under it, at 52 I do feel the cold!! Fantastic coat
