Great all round tent, amazing value.

I've used this tent on wild camping trips for the last three years, and can vouch for it's quality and durability. I've never had any issues. One feature I love is the ability to raise the outser shell before the inner, this means you can pitch this tent in the rain without too much fuss.

For £50 this tents an absolute steal and honestly I've looked at more upmarket tents, but can't justify buying a new one when this still works so well.

The only reason I would ever replace this tent is to cut down on its 2.9kg weight.

Amazing value.

Very happy with this tent.

I've used it 3 times now. The first time I packed it away with the inner attached to the fly for quicker future erection. On Dartmoor it was a very windy night, but I camped out of the wind. During the night the wind changed direction and the tent not only stood up to it well, but was quiet despite flapping a bit. I would recommend this as a great value tent.

Worth the money

I have used this tent 10 times now for wild camping.
It's more a one man tent with plenty room for your gear.
Excellent porch area to store boots and cooking equipment.
I love to insect net on the front and the door. I always leave it with the netting so I can see the views and get the air in.
It goes up quick with two poles a few guy lines.
Double wall and air vents.
The colour is good to blend in, I did remove the neon lines and swap for camo paracord. But it's a good buy.

Pole warning

Firstly we love the tent. We have been wild camping in Dartmoor, Australia and New Zealand with 2 adults and a child (under 9 she fitted well but slight squeeze and damp at edges in rain consequently). We have put it up in dark easily and quickly too. My warning though is about the fibreglass poles - they splinter with age/use and my husband still has a large splinter in his finger from our last hike in May last year!

No problems during purchase

Great tent for the reduced price

I bought this tent as it was cheap in the sale. Was green so right colour for wild stealth camping. I didn't expect too much. When it arrived I was surprised. Poles are cheap and the pegs are heavy (wish I could change poles) but have changed pegs to reduce weight. It has a porch which is a nice touch and appreciated for when shut in, rainy conditions. Inside it feels quite spacious but cosy. I put a low level camp bed inside. Hung a lightbulb light, put cheap foam mat side of the bed. Perfect little bedroom for travel. Windows in the porch are a nice touch. Nice feeling tent solo wild camping

I am writing this review while on the tent in new Zealand. It's a great little tent. Compact and easy to carry with enough room for two people and gear. Has a lot of really well thought out features and pockets. The see through porch panels are cool as they let in a lot of light. And best of all is the price, its an absolute bargain for quality kit. I've taken it on a couple of wild camps in the Lakes and it blends in really well.

Small for our needs but will be ok for the kids.

Excellent tent for motorcycle camping

Fantastic tent to throw on the back of the bike.
Used it for a bit of wild camping up in Scotland, quick and easy to pitch.
Good size in side (I am 6 foot)
As others have said, no ground sheet in porch area, I bought a tarp for £2.99 on ebay, did the job fine.
Not very heavy, sits nicely behind me on the seat.
Can't find anything bad to say about it.

Excellent tent

Great backpacking tent. Easy to put up in under 10 minutes. Adequate room for 2 adults. Two large rucksacks fit in porch (no groundsheet in porch). Handy lantern hook inside. Two mesh pockets on each side inside for your essentials. Inner door has two mesh layers so you can unzip inner one and keep tent really well ventilated at night while keeping insects out. Also decent size vent on back and two smaller ones on sides of porch. Porch door flaps can be fastened back out of the way with toggles. Haven't tested it in heavy rain but it withstood light shower during night.

Excellent Purchase

Excellent purchase, easy to carry and to erect and plenty of room once inside. It is a low tent so you will require a low camp bed, however there is no ground sheet in the porch.

Q&A (4)

Hi there Which groundsheet should I buy for this (preferably to include the porch area) Many thanks Claire

Hi Claire. This tent doesn't has a specific ground sheet but a ground sheet on the smaller size would be your best option, this Vango PVC Groundsheet Medium would be one of our best options. I hope this helps.

Does this tent have good insulation?

16th Feb 2019, submitted by Henry

Hi Henry. Thank you for getting in touch with your question. This is a light weight back packing tent that will trap heat to make it warmer inside the tent than the outside conditions. There is also ventilation points to let fresh air in and moisture vapour out. This also helps to stop the build up of condensation. I wouldn't say that the tent has any specific insulation properties but will keep you dry and out of the wind. I hope this answers your question. Many Thanks.

Is this tent easy for one person to erect?

17th Jan 2019, submitted by suzanne

Hi Suzanne Thank you for your question. Yes the Eurohike Backpacker DLX is a very easy tent to pitch for one person. The average pitch time is five to ten minutes. This tent uses two poles and then depends on tension from pegging it out. I hope this helps.
