I bought a pair...
Disappointing
These boots were very comfortable from day one but they let in water - having paid full price doubly gutted to have to replace them after only 10 months of dog walking use - hardly excessive wear. Obviously a bad design my previous merrell summer boots still fine after 5 years!

letting in water
Before buying these, check the reviews on the Merrell site. All the 1-star reviews talk about them not being waterproof. I bought them for my partner - she loved the looks, found them very comfortable but when finally put to the test more than a year after purchase (thanks Covid), we found the right boot lets in water, even when walking through wet grass. We have proofed them but the only workable solution has been waterproof socks! Disappointed.

Comfortable and stood the mud test at the first wear!
Excellent walking boots
I wanted something relatively light but waterproof and with good support and these fit the bill perfectly. They are very comfortable and don't rub at all so didn't need wearing in. I took the advice on sizing from other reviews - I am usually a UK 3/3.5 and bought the size 4 and they fit perfectly with room for thick socks or swelling feet. Very happy with my purchase!
Strong and supportive
Had these for around 6 weeks and they have been such a great buy. The weather has been a real test for these boots, with torrential rain, sleet, snow and ice to contend with as I go for my hours walk every day. I wear them with thin knee length socks and my feet have stayed warm and dry. I have purposely walked through deep water in these boots and they have passed the waterproof test 100%. They are true to size and comfortable whilst supporting my ankles on uneven ground. My feet don't get hot and sweaty thanks to the breathable materials and I would highly recommend them. Will last years.
