Very comfortable shoes. Only...
Very comfortable shoes. Only downside was the sizing is small. I have been a size 8 for 40+ years but couldn't get my feet into the pair I ordered. Blacks promote a service called Klarna which allows the buyer to pay either in 30 days or in 3 separate instalments. It is not promoted however that should you need to return the item, having used Klarna complicates matters:
The store couldn't exchange my 8's for a 9. They did however take the 8's back for me but claimed there were no 9's available online. Fortunately the next nearest store had a pair, which I was able to collect. Took me 2 weeks and 3 emails to obtain a refund. Why I couldn't take my 8's to the store with the 9's is beyond me! Maybe the assistant got it wrong, but once she saw Klarna on my advice note, she informed me, before any stock checks, that I couldn't exchange them. Blacks website states exchanges only possible "in store". Should have an asterisk "unless purchased with klarna".

Attractive footwear, well made as you’d expect from Merrel
Tough shoes
Comfortable, robust, great looking, hard wearing approach shoes, whether youre approaching the crag or the pub.
Merrell Catalyst Shoe
The shoes are extremely comfortable with excellent traction.
But (and this is big BUT!) they ARE NOT WATERPROOF.
I did expect a Merrell outdoor shoe to be waterproof!
