It had been in use for less than 2 minutes on the warm setting, and the 12v connector started smoking. It was red hot to the point where it sizzled on the damp grass when I threw it out of the car! Had somebody touched it, they would have had a nasty burn as well as wet hair. Despite this, the air it had been blowing was barely warm. I only just managed to dry my fringe with it. Do not recommend. This product is not safe.
