Slings are versatile pieces of climbing equipment. They can be used as an extended quickdraw for allowing your rope to run straighter to decrease friction or to set up an anchor.
Slings come in a variety of lengths, widths and weights. The Beal Nylon Sling (120cm x 16mm) is a useful length for building two-bolt, fixed anchors which can be worn doubled over a shoulder or as an alpine quickdraw. Nylon holds knots well and is highly durable.
