This is a decent little bike, it's a good size when folded out and is pretty comfortable to ride. Folded weight is pretty light.
I use this to cycle into work (approximately 5 miles each way) and found it easy to use and pretty speedy. There are a few points that I think Compass should address.
The stand doesn't work at all really, it seems to be incapable of supporting the bikes weight and is not adjustable.
The original seat on the bike in very uncomfortable, I had to buy a seat cover.
Although the bike folds quite small and is relatively compact, there are no clips to stop it unfolding.
I haven’t cycled for over 30 years and suddenly had a desire to do so. I wanted a folding bike so I could use it in the country and Spain. Although I had a few problems with delivery, the bike itself it really good. I have been out on it 3 times so far and have had lots of people commenting on how good the bike looks. It rides well and the gear change is simple. Only issue is the seat - blimey is it uncomfortable but I have purchased a gel seat cover which I hope will help. All in all very pleased.
Liked the size,as it's not too big or too small. But, since day 1, my seat post has been slipping down, despite tightening the clamp, usually when I go over little bumps in the road. Last week, as I was crossing an intersection, the lever of the clamp broke and flew off in the middle of traffic. Lucky I didn't fall in front of a car when the seatpost completly fell down. Wanted to replace the whole clamp with a new one but, the original one seems to be soldered on so no way of removing it. Bought a new lever for clamp but post is still slipping. Mudguard on front wheel keeps chafing it. :((
As a teen in the 1980s I loved my folding 'shopper' bike. The current trend for heavy mountain bikes is not for me, either my size or usage. Just wanted something light and nippy. I had the earlier model of this bike for about 6 years but after being out in all weathers at work it was starting to look tired and rusted in places. I've just replaced it with a shiny new one and love it. A few teething problems with the gears slipping but easily sorted. An all round great bike.
