Reviewed by andrew scrimgeour - 6th Jan, 2021 Last pair not as good quality I am a big fan of this brand but my last pair were not waterproof and the stitching started to come away too making me wonder -has the previous quality standards slipped or have I just got a one bad pair ?? Tempted to give them the benefit of the doubt based on previous Meindl walking shoes.
Review via - 1st May, 2020 Had a pair of these a few years ago then decided to try a different make. Big mistake. I have now gone back to my trusty Meindl. Well made & really comfortable
Review via - 24th Apr, 2020 I carefully read the reviews on a number of makes - Merrell; Salomon; etc. before deciding on Meindl - (a) because I've had them before; (b) I find their sizing accurate (unlike Merrell's where you tend to need a half size larger); and (c) they are a wide fitting.
Review via - 29th Jan, 2020 This is my 3rd pair of these shoes in 5 years. They're just right for my feet but the soles wear out a bit too quickly.I keep an eye out for discount offers and then buy a pair, so these will get used properly later this year.
Reviewed by martin ingert - 24th Jan, 2020 outstanding outstanding ,most comfortable shoes i have ever owned , no running in required . laces non slip . will buy again . delivered on time
Reviewed by MM71 - 11th Oct, 2019 Good but not great These are good overall shoes that perform excellent on dry, rocky trails and scree however I find that the sole let's the shoe down when the trail surface is wet and mud/ grass is not confidence inspiring. Upper is excellent waterproofing wise and ventilation is above average. Fit is ok but required a relatively long break in period. Excellent quality though may try another similar shoe from meindl to compare fit.
Review via - 8th Jul, 2019 The most comfortable walking shoe that it's been my pleasure to own.Bought in the sale, just purchased my 4th pair to keep(still in box) as my emergency stand by's.
Reviewed by J Collins - 9th Dec, 2018 Great but Great shoe used extensively on Japanese holiday during summer and it's the first time that I didn't get sore feet. Now the but, strangely one sole has yellow highlights and the other has grey , I just look upon it as a quirk
Reviewed by Matt Thompsett - 13th Jul, 2018 Just Buy Them I've gone totally lightweight so as much as I love my Salomon Quests I wanted some light walking shoes. I tried a thousand pairs before discovering these little beauties. As soon as you tie them up the whole shoe grips your foot like a glove, I had concerns about slipping forward in the shoes on steep descents but I need not of worried. The soles have fabulous grip on all terrains including greasy, wet limestone. Even the laces are wicked, the soft outer really binds well so no double knots needed. The insoles are firm and highly contoured, similar to fell running shoes. These babies compete.
