Great boots good fit,if a bit bigger than the last pair, which were only replaced after 3 years because the soul had worn away!
The boots are comfortable to wear with a wider fit than a similar product from a different company. However, the grip on the sole is very sparse with no grip under the foot arch which makes me wary of using these boots on uneven terrain for fear of slipping. I'm not impressed with the quality of the sole given the price.
I bought these boots sometime ago as I needed a boot that was truly waterproof and these boots really do keep feet dry. They are very light and comfortable, however they have very poor grip on wet mossy ground or wet stone. I am disppointed that the only truly waterproof boot I have found (and they were not cheap) are not much use on wet ground. My work safety boots are fine on the same ground and they were a fraction of the price (but they are not wholly waterproof!). I love the boot but would not buy again unless the sole was improved.
Been worn every day for as long as I can remember. The soles are now quite flat so new pair needed, what better than for Christmas.
Stitching in leather lining around both ankles quickly became worn and broken. Heels wore down very quickly. Outer leather is thin and tears easily. Very poor quality compared to previous Brasher supalite boots.
Great boots from day 1 worn on a strenuous dry 9 mile walk up Cadair Idris in Snowdonia, total ascent over 1000m.
Liner sock with good walking sock = finished with no blisters. Light, comfortable traditional looking boot, true to fit, plenty of wiggle room for my slightly wide feet, with padded ankles offering just the right support. Worth paying that bit extra for good quality. Would highly recommend :-)
Very comfortable & light
Tried these in the house and thought fab. Went on a 5 mile hike and the stitching at the back of both ankles cut into me despite me wearing 2 pairs of good socks on. Waste of money and really disappointed
I bought these for my wife and says they’re the best walking boots she’s had! Hopefully the eyelets won’t come out as easily as the previous pair of Brasher!
Wonderfully supple, yet sturdy and supportive boot. Looking great too! The shock absorber is giving a real rise to my step! I love these walking boots. I have only just begun to wear them, but they are already very comfortable from the word go. I am sure they will soon become my most favourite walking boots ever!
Can only give 1 star as it is difficult to rate something that was ordered 16 days ago and has still not been delivered. Would love to see the boots if you can organise yourselves well enough to actually deliver them.
Worthy replacement to my much loved Brasher Lady
The boots are Ok - bought to replace the old Brasher equivalent. Not as soft leather but do the job. Really unhappy with the cheap nylon laces that are thin and slippy so even with a double knot they keep coming undone and won’t stay in the side cleats as you put them on. Whoever engineered this product specification down in this way is an idiot.
Super light and comfortable boots for general country walking and not too chunky or aggressively styled so they work for urban hikes too. Excellent waterproofing and good grip. I bought these to replaced a much-loved pair of Brasher boots that that had worn out. I believe Berghaus bought Brasher when it went out of business and rebranded these boots. They are almost exactly the same as the Brasher ones I am replacing. My best boots ever. Really comfortable - they put a spring in my step!
Excellent so far time will tell
really pleased with my new hiking boots. good price, quality leather, light to wear, good fit, comfortable and weather proof (just tested out on a four day hiking trip) I treated them with dubbing wax before first outing
Beautiful quality walking boots. Very soft leather and comfy inner soles. Very light to wear which I am happy about. I bought my usual size 5 and these are perfect. Always buy Berghaus walking shoes and boots they are always comfy and long lasting.
These boots are fantastic. Able to wear them straight away and be very comfortable.
Lightweight boot. Very comfortable and reasonably watertight. I wear them to walk dogs on wet grass all year round.
I have not yet used the boots for a proper outside hike. I like the shape of the boots, they fit well around the whole foot and do not have any pressure points. They are very light in weight. They are expensive but I expect them to last a long time.
