The Vango Mirage Pro 300 is a 3-person trekking tent equipped for rough conditions. The semi-geodesic structure is self-supporting and freestanding, making it ideal for pitching on hard ground. This design – combined with a gothic arch porch – can also withstand severe weather, making it a portable sanctuary on adventurous treks. The addition of waterproof ripstop material to the flysheet and the use of Yunan eco-poles only increase the toughness. DofE Recommended Kit which features on the DofE Expedition Kit List.

Great tent, only problem was missing small ground sheet for porch area, was able to get alternative ground sheet in store at no extra cost to me.

I bought one from Blacks about a year ago. It feels huge inside, it's plenty for three. The flexibility at the front is great, you can counter wind, make the most of the view and adapt for privacy. I have customised mine, I put the door up on King Poles (bought separate) and hang a small tarp/flag down the side. It makes a difference. The tent is actually 0.9kg lighter than my sleeping bag. They have gone up a lot in price this year, I'm tempted to buy a second before they go up even more. It's a very cheap relaxing holiday.

Q&A (1)

will a double air bed fit into mirage 300?

24th Apr 2019, submitted by Karl Patten

Hello Karl. With this style of tent you probably wouldn't want to use a double air bed, with this air bed being a luxury camping sleeping option it will probably take up almost all the floor space and volume of this tent and leave less than a meters head space. This tent is a technical tent used for wild camping and even mountain use. I would recommend that a roll mat or self inflating mat would be the best sleeping option for a tent like this. I hope this helps.
