Good B/C boot
Worth the money
After 1 year, 6 Munro's climbed and hundreds of miles walked in all conditions & types of terrain across Scotland, I can confidently say these boots are worth the money. They are very comfortable even after wearing for long periods & entirely waterproof to the ankle, so long as the entire boot is not submerged. I have started to see some wear in the sole but I think I'll get at least another 18 - 24 months from them at this rate

Comfortable, fit as expected....

Leaky boot
Bought late 2020 , broke in fairly quickly and a comfortable boot
Maintained as per instructions with Meindl sports wax on the leather but the right boot is leaking through the sole which makes for a uncomfortable walk

Quality product. I read a lot about the boots before buying which helped as buying footwear on line can be a nightmare. Very pleased with boots. Hope they continue for a long time as they are quite high end price.

I tried on this boot alongside another well-known Italian make. The Meindl has a stiffer sole with limited flexibility and the uppers are also made of a more substantial leather. The Italian boot was more beguiling in the shop: softer, lighter and more flexible, but the Meindl won out in other ways: it has a raised toe that rolls you through each step, rather than a flat sole; and the lack of flex, along with the rubber toe protector make it more suitable for bouldering. A good upland boot for when the paths become a bit sketchy, or disappear altogether.
