Innovation from Berghaus
Berghaus use advanced technology in all of their products to help protect you from the elements, making sure you have exactly what you need, and want, when you’re in the great outdoors.
Each Berghaus product uses a specific technology that matches the activities the product is designed for.

Below are just some of the technologies that Berghaus use in their products:
GORE-TEX® Clothing
GORE-TEX® technology in clothing has been helping people explore the outdoors for over thirty years by keeping them dry and comfortable.
Whatever you have planned, whether it’s an expedition to the polar region, or a walk in the park with your family, there’s a GORE-TEX® fabric to meet your needs.
Berghaus was the first European outdoor company to introduce GORE-TEX® fabrics in to its clothing way back in 1977 and it’s an association they are proud to continue. They use a number of GORE-TEX® fabrics in their products including:
GORE-TEX® WINDSTOPPER®: designed to be completely windproof and highly breathable, letting you stay outdoors for longer and push yourself further
GORE-TEX® PRO SHELL: designed for cold, wet, inhospitable places. If you’re facing tough conditions then
GORE-TEX® Pro Shell: will help keep you dry and comfortable.
Argentium
Look good and smell good thanks to Argentium Tech T Fabric, a Berghaus original, which uses silver ion technology for permanent protection from odours.
Argentium is the latest innovation in next to the skin technology which is built to perform no matter what the activity is. This means you can exercise hard and stay fresh for longer, great if you’re constantly on the go or are on an extended trip where weight is an issue.
Freeflow
Berghaus’ revolutionary innovative rucksack back system allows air to circulate between the rucksack and the skin, keeping you more comfortable.
Over time the surface area of the mesh has been decreased to reduce the amount of material which is in contact with your back to keep you cooler.
Freeflow packs also have EVABreathe® shoulder straps for added breathability and comfort, and the largest sacks in the Freeflow range have a reinforced hip belt
