Comments about Berghaus Flare 700 Mummy Sleeping Bag:
I bought this for a trip to a June jazz festival in France. It was very good, but I needed a liner one night for extra warmth.
Comments about Berghaus Flare 700 Mummy Sleeping Bag:
This is a 1-2 season bag according to the label, but I would call it 1 season. I used it on an airbed inside a cool house, with fleece inner liner and started with a hot water bottle. By the early hours I was getting cold. I would not contemplate using this bag even for a summer hike in the UK, because there can be cold nights.
It compresses to a small size, which is what attracted me to it, but that is because there is not much filling. The filling is described as high tech and high performance, but it still does not keep me warm.
I would avoid this unless you want to go camping in a warm country in a warm month.

Comments about Berghaus Flare 700 Mummy Sleeping Bag:
This sleeping bag is incredibly small and light. Replacing an old Vango I had, I am amazed at how much extra I can fit in my rucksack with this new sleeping bag. It has also massively reduced the weight of my rucksack.
It was excellent for me on Gold Duke of Edinburgh (in awful rain and wind on Dartmoor) and I know will get much more use from me. Being Berghaus I know it will survive a long while yet.
Little things in the design on the sleeping bag impress me, like for example the flat drawstring on the hood of the sleeping bag so it is not uncomfortable to sleep on and the ability to cover over the velcro at the top of the zip which stops the bag from opening.
I can recommend it to anyone who needs a lightweight and small sleeping bag that also looks really good. It has kept me warm and I can always look forward to sleeping in it!
