The Berghaus Men’s Explorer Light Boots are a great lightweight boot for use in warmer climes.
Designed to provide a high level of comfort, support, protection and grip, the Explorer Boots feature a suede and mesh upper with a waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex® membrane; a PU midsole to absorb shocks and a durable rubber outsole.
Berghaus’ lightest Explorer boots, the Berghaus Men’s Explorer Light Boots are perfect for use in warmer climates where breathability, comfort and foot holding are essential.
A suede and mesh upper is featured to these Berghaus boots for comfort, durability and support.
While the sole unit incorporates a PU midsole for excellent, durable cushioning.
Designed to be able to be used in wet weather conditions, the Explorer boots feature a waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex® membrane that is guaranteed to keep your feet dry throughout even the wettest of conditions.
Suitable for multi-day hikes, backpacking and travelling.

Returns
Should you wish to return a product for any reason, you may do so by taking your purchase to your nearest store within 28 days of date of dispatch. Goods can be exchanged or refunded within 28 days of dispatch. Please note that stores cannot accept returns of TOG24 or Garmin items that have been purchased online. These items must be returned by post by following the instructions detailed on the dispatch note included in your packaging.
Alternatively, for your convenience, we are pleased to offer Collect+ as an easy way to return products to us. Collect+ has parcel drop off points in over 4,500 local stores, most are open early until late, 7 days a week so you can return items at a time and place that suits you. We regret that we are unable to offer Collect+ for TOG24 or Garmin items that have been purchased online. Click here for more information about Collect+
If you don't have a store nearby or just don't have time to visit your local store, a refund can be obtained by returning the goods by post. However, please ensure that you use a tracked service and remember to include your Postal Returns Note (included with your original order).
In all instances the goods must be returned in saleable condition and in their original packaging to qualify for a 28 day refund or exchange.

I have used these boots at altitude in conditions ranging from dry and hot, to very wet, and I have to say I have been extremely pleased. Comfort and grip are top notch - for me they couldn't be bettered in dry conditions. They let me down slightly during a day of torrential rain where eventually the gore-tex got saturated and so I got wet feet. Admittedly, I wasn't wearing gaiters that may have helped keep water out. Grip-wise they still performed well, and they dry quite quickly. The boots are nice and light and also good value. I can't fully comment on durability but after 7 full days of hiking in a variety of conditions, they seem to be wearing well. Aside from scuffs in the suede, there is just some creasing of the outer suede above the heal that is unlikely to affect performance. In particular, the soles are hardly worn at all. Great stuff!

they are next to useless on ice. Snow is fine but ice is a non starter.
Looking at the boots that these replaced and a pair of trail shoes I have the difference is what I think is called the outsole.
The old boots have a noticable tread all round the outside, these are flush.
having said that ice is not going to be around forever, looking forward to getting some miles under my belt with these on my feet

in nearly 27 years as a full time countryside warden these are the most comfortable boots that i have ever worn, i have had dozens of pairs of boots over the years and these are without doubt the best for all day comfort and lightness ,although gore-tex and completely waterproof they are quite cool when the weather is hot,i wear these from spring to autumn and wear the leather version called the explorer ridge for the winter months as i find the leather easyer to keep clean .i cannot recommend these highly enough

I hunted around for a pair of boots that would get me through the 3 peaks challenge, these were perfect, I raved about them to anyone that would listen throughout the challenge itself. They are light, comfortable and very supportive. They dealt with very marshy conditions, the loose scree and heavier rocks of Nevis and Scafell summits, crossing the streams and all the various gradients up and down. They also performed very well through the sections of the mountains I was running. I hope to still have them next year when I do the challenge again

Bought these boots for a hiking tour of Norway.
Very comfortable to wear & fine in mud & fresh snow. USELESS when snow is icy & LETHAL on ice absolutely NO GRIP. Should have spent more and bought North Face.
